What are Allure Bridals’ favorite styles/silhouettes of wedding dresses this season? We’ve embraced sleek silhouettes, incredibly voluminous skirts and everything in between. If we had to pick, our favorite styles include an updated take on the bridal ball gown — beaded, with a textured, ruffled skirt — and the resurgence of the utterly simple sheath, with minimal detailing.
OLGA YERMOLOFF HAUTE COUTURE What are your top tips for finding the perfect wedding dress? Finding the perfect wedding-dress is not an easy job. There are so many different styles, lines, and fabrics that it can often be chaotic. Most brides try on between four and seven gowns, but in any case, they shouldn’t try on more than 10. Otherwise, they can be lead to a big confusion and sometimes even a panic attack. A second tip for the bride to be is first to figure out which silhouette works better for her and start searching according to that. However, the most important thing that a bride needs to do is to choose a dress that makes her feel comfortable and matches with her own personal style and identity. What are your favorite styles / silhouettes of wedding dresses this season? This season designers are reinterpreting bridal looks in new, vintage-inspired, and completely unexpected ways. We saw so many, different colours, fabrics and embellishments in this year’s runways. However, it seems that lace is here to stay. There is nothing quite as vintage and romantic as a lace wedding-dress. At the same time, 3-D florals have dominated wedding dresses for many seasons. Floral embroidery dominated the 2018 wedding-dress collections as well. Some other of our favorite fabrics are tulle for more ethereal feel and satin and silk for the vintage bride. A romantic elegant and dramatic look can be achieved with long multi-layered trains and voluminous ball gowns. Last but not least, this year’s most impressive bridal trends are the bare shoulders, crystals, pearls and capes.
