With 11 years in the industry and international experience, Khurram leads Meinhardt building services, ESD, and energy efficiency projects in Australia and overseas. He is a Green Star Accredited Professional, and has extensive experience of Building Services Design, ESD and Energy Efficiency across diverse sectors such as institutional, commercial, high-rise residential, healthcare, data centres, and urban precinct developments.

With over 13 years of professional experience, David’s expertise is in the field of structural engineering and project leadership. He has been responsible for the structural design and construction supervision of various types of structures including Commercial, Residential, Institutional, Healthcare, Aged-Care, Aviation and Industrial. David’s succes in managing large projects simultaneously, dedication to his clients, and his enthusiastic personality has made him a key team member within his project leadership role.

His area of expertise includes concept design, detail design and documentation, ESD assessments, credit ratings, energy modelling & simulation, building services optimisation, sub metering, building management systems and on site power generation. Major ESD projects under Khurram’s leadership includes: Sustainable Urban Precincts Program (SUPP), Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Melbourne VIC – Khurram identified and proposed various Energy Conservation Measures (ECM’s) to achieve client targets. Khurram was responsible for conceptual design, energy assessment and calculations, energy modelling and simulation, GHG reduction assessments, and performance measurement and verification. Museum Victoria, Melbourne VIC – Khurram was the principal ESD and Mechanical design engineer responsible for energy and GHG emissions reductions, and energy modelling and simulations.

Major projects under David’s leadership includes: PS1 Commercial Building, Springfield QLD – David was the Project Leader for the Structural & Civil Engineering of the $55m GE HQ which is a 15,000m2 office building consisting of six stories with two levels of basement carparking. Virgin Airlines Business Lounge Extension, Brisbane Domestic Terminal, Brisbane QLD – David was the Lead Structural & Civil Engineer for the 2-level expansion of Virgin’s domestic terminal at the Brisbane Airport, which involved expanding the terminal to house a larger Virgin Business Lounge and relocating & upgrading the Virgin Valet area. Mater Redlands Hospital Extension, Redlands QLD – David is the Project Leader (Structural & Civil Engineering) for the current Contract Documentation phase of this $38.4m project which involves a new 5-story building and a 2-level extension to the existing theatres and patient rooms, as well upgrading the Basement carparks.
