John 14:28: “Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you…”

John 16:28: “I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.”

Read the words and compare them to John 14:3, where Jesus says: “I will come again!” Jesus is saying prior to the crucifixion and those words that he has “come into the world again.” John 14:3 is a future event Jesus is explaining in the present… John 16:28 is a past event Jesus is explaining in the present.
