and family flee rectory fi re St. Paul's Anglican Church has had more than its share of excitement in connection with its IOOth anniversay. The rector, Rev. John Lombard, Mrs. Lombard and their three children are residing temporarily in an apartment owned by Mr. and Mrs. Roy Frost until repairs and, clean up operations are completed to undo the damage caused by a fire at the rectory Saturday morning. Rev. and Mrs. Lombard were awakened about Bo'c1ock with the news of the fire by their son John.who with his brother Teddy had risen earlier and had gone to the basement to play. Somehow the boys had obtained matches and started a fire in an old cistern used for storing boxes and tires: The Marmora Fire Department was summoned after Rev, Lombard failed in his attempt to use a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The. fire extensively.' damaged the dining room while smoke and water damage accounted .forthe cl:e~t. Mr. and Mrs. Frost offered the use of an apartment, Crown Cleaners took much of the family's clothes away to clean. Martin Building. Supplies donated an' electric stove for the family's use and Mrs. Olive Prest has loaned a refrigerator, and one of the volunteer firemen, Bill Bedore, remained on duty at the rectory for several hours to see that there was no reappearance of the fire. .
