Arizona. It was the moment it all felt real and it was amazing!” Blue uplighting cast an iridescent glow against the metal gate backdrop while 200 glass orbs dangled from the barrel-vaulted ceiling. Their sisters stood beside them as the grooms’ friends guided them through their vow exchange. “It was very important to us to have someone special officiating our wedding to make the event personal to us. Our best friends came up with a ceremony that was personal, funny and efficient,” says James. “Both Lisa and Tom were able to bring in elements of who we each are, including the promise of fluffing the decorative pillows and sharing the last piece of cake.”

THE PARTY To make room for dinner and

dancing, the floor-to-ceiling gates were opened and the space was transformed. Metallic trees decorated with small orbs and flanked with mercury glass jars rose from the 10 circular tables sprinkled around the room. Old wood pallets spray-painted in blue informed guests of the wedding hashtag while they picked up their table numbers on Champagne flutes. Each place setting graced a Jonathan Adler dove ornament and fortune cookie, a nod to James’s love of the treats as well as their fortune cookieproposal. Wanting to offer their guests an out-of-thebox dining experience, Andy and James refused to settle on catering, searching
