Show de Bola Berlin

Show de Bola Project

Born out of the concept of the increasing irrelevance of physical frontiers of the International art market, "Show de Bola" is a cultural project idealized by New York based curator Leda Maria, which aims to connect peoples through culture and art. The project presents works of artists from all continents. This artistic collection is a sign of recognition and expression of humanity's current frame of mind. A milestone in the career of all artists involved, the project gives the opportunity for each to show, through his or her art, the beauty and particularities of their country. The success of Show de Bola's first exhibit, in Brazil, with national recognition of critics and the media, led the way to the project's succeeding appearance in the United States, where it was recognized for the authenticity of its concept. From Brazil the exhibit traveled to Miami, New York and it moves on to travel the world. In April, 2015 Show de Bola will have its first European appearance, electing Berlin, Germany as its first stop. The cultural and artistic profile of this cosmopolitan landmark makes it an important landing pad for all artists involved to show the beauty of the other corners of the world.

LEDA MARIA, CURATOR

A project that grew up aside from the artistic creation, facing hugs and also great challenges, showing that union, strength, courage and the spirit of never giving up make it possible to overcome all the obstacles and to attain tangible and transforming results which honour and give even greater value to the richness of the manifestations of cultural interchanges, always keeping a ďŹ rm purpose, bigger on those who devote themselves to Art in body and soul. The Show da Bola is certainly a present to the lovers of Plastic Arts. Curator and creator of the project: Leda Maria do Prado.

Leda Maria is an art historian, artist, ďŹ ne art and ceramics instructor. Various magazines, newspapers and contemporary art catalogues in Brazil, United States and Europe have published her art as well as her writings throughout the years. Leda Maria holds several awards for her work as an artist.

Show de Bola Berlin

Show de Bola Artistic creation, like life itself, is restlessness and change. The sense of longing inspires us to seek renewal in a constant search for identity and our history. The artist Wassily Kandinsky said that: Beauty comes from inside the soul. Show de Bola encompasses these concepts. The many pathways of art converge to create artistic excellence. These are the roots that each of the artists represents. The creative concept created by the curator Leda Maria and the artists brings together the art works of artists and creatives from many countries. There are artists from:Austria, Austrália, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Canadá, United States of América, Nigeria, Kennya, Bulgary, Argentina, France, New Zealand, and México. The richness of the exhibit has been displayed first in Brazil during the World Cup in 2014, followed by Miami, New York, Berlin, and Dallas. The fantastic acceptance and positive reviews from the public, as well as art critics and media in Brazil for the innovative concept combined with the high quality of the art works presented during the exhibit gave the impulse for its world- wide success and many invitations to bring the project to other locations and countries in Europe and Asia. The project's goal is to show the cultural diversity of different regions and countries through different form of expression and aesthetic discourse. Through the variety media approach from the abstract to the representational, and from the two dimensional to tri-dimensional as well as the play between realism and conceptual art. The artists were able to encompass the main purpose of the project. The convergence of the artistic quality production and freedom of expression.

NADIA CHAVIANO, ART CRITIC

Each artist is able to offer to the public his or hers unique artistic atmosphere and establish a dialogue between art and the viewers. The exhibit, in its entirety promotes this dialogue through its format and concept. A very notable aspect of the project is participating artists altruism who, without institutional or government support have been travelling for several seasons without a hint of quiet. The interest binds to bring art to the most distant exhibition spaces where the magic function of the visual arts to positively influence people, amid the complex and globalized world we inhabit. Congratulations on the "Show de Bola" project that brings us from the hand of each piece, to penetrate into the deeper layers of the soul. As Lichtenstein said: "The important is that each art form impact on humans in a unique way and this in turn can be used to improve health and quality of life."

Art should be fun and art should also say something - or even both. Benno Sökeland paints what just comes into his head. He paints his view of the world sometimes figurative, realistic - sometimes expressive, abstract or experimental too. An artist can show the world as it is, or he can bring out his interpretation of things. In this sense, the artist's motto “The world is beautiful“ has often an ambiguous meaning. With a quote of Anthony Paul Moo-Young, known as Mooji, the artist defines a position to the world “You don't see the world how it is, you see the world how you are“. Studies of visual communication including graphic design, illustration, painting at University of Applied Sciences, Bielefeld, received the diploma 1982. Mayte Spínola gives creative and personal homage to the great dreamer of innocence that was Miró, his paintings perpetrates the way of the master, in a creative flight towards the light. Passionate explorer of the pictoric field, it could be said that she paints in a state of poetic impregnation, almost trance like, surfaces in dominant monochromes that have a mysterious annunciating power. From the matter severe and definite signs sprout and stand tall, alien to the vibrating area that surrounds them. This notion of cosmic genesis of evolving atmosphere, of physical field expansion, is one of the indisputable characteristics of her paintings. Considering the inherent expressiveness of colour in her paintings we have to say: The pinks on white and light fabrics. The rampant ochre in ride. Joyful greens. Fire of yellows... Violets that ply from garnet to mauve... Rosa Martínez de Lahidalga
