LBWR 2015

CHARTER Violence against women is a crime and must stop. Everyone has the right to feel and be safe - at all times, in any place. Our community should be free from violence and controlling behaviour. Violence against women impacts the whole community and future generations. Preventative action taken on an individual, organisational and community leadership level will stop the cycle. As community leaders we vow to: never perpetrate an act of violence against women; never walk past any woman that is under the threat of violence, but take appropriate action; report any known acts of violence against a woman; support, advocate and lobby for a future where men do not commit violence against women; and promote respect and equality across genders.
