Věra Šulcová Due to improperly chosen fields of study and three children, I became a housewife. About ten years ago I discovered the magic of polymer clay and five years ago, when the last “bird” left the family nest, I became addicted. Since then I have been playing with polymer clay and I having a great time almost constantly.

Run conditioned white clay through the pasta machine at the medium setting (Imperia No. 4) and place it on the tile. Place an LC Stencils, roll it into the clay with an acrylic roller. Apply acrylic paints (I used a sponge), remove the Stencil and rinse it immediately. (On the blue and brown eggs I applied the paint on the middle part only, and decorated the edges with strips of coloured and white clay cut with a wavy knife, stacked together and then smoothed over the baking paper). Cut the sheet off the tile and cut the egg shape either with a cutter or cut out using a scalpel and a paper template. Repeat (the resulting pattern of both eggs should be identical).

Carefully transfer both shapes onto two identical tablespoons. Carefully smooth over the baking paper so that the egg takes a convex shape. Bake for 15 minutes at 130°C/266°F.

To fix the colours, apply a thin layer of Translucent Liquid polymer and bake again with the spoons for 15 minutes at 130°C/266°F.

Glue two halves of the egg together with super glue or jewellery glue. Apply a thin layer of the glue with a toothpick all over the edge of one half, then press the other half against it. When applying the glue, proceed from the upper part to the lower one. You can apply clear varnish to enhance colours.

I inserted a metal hook (to hang the Christmas decorations) into the eye pin and tied a bow.

Sand the edges with sandpaper on a flat surface. Scrape thin grooves using a small drill at the top of one egg (inside the egg), insert an eye pin and fix it with tape.
