Another accomplishment that makes me particularly proud was the 2021 launch of the Company Academy named after Guido Moschini. Training has always been a priority for the Group and represents a priceless competitive value. The Academy was founded to develop the professional and interpersonal skills of the people that make up our companies, sharing our internal technical and manufacturing

The Group has invested heavily in recent years to renovate its systems and technologies to order to increase production capacities and optimise the entire integrated supply chain while significantly reducing the environmental impact of our business and making our IT infrastructure more efficient and secure. An additional investment plan also enabled the implementation of several other projects, including the construction of a new entirely automated warehouse at the company Contital with a capacity of 15,000 pallets, the installation of a third high-performance coating line at Italcoat which will double the company’s production capacity, and the development of projects for new environmentally sustainable plants and processes. Specifically, we pursued our aim to reduce the energy consumption of our plants and to increase the proportion of selfproduced renewable energy with the extension of the photovoltaic plant, the output of which rose by almost 40% in 2021. In this historic period when energy price rises are severely hitting businesses and domestic users alike, the projects we’ve implemented also represent an element of the Group's social and economic sustainability, protecting employees’ jobs from the sudden fluctuations of the market and the instability of the international geopolitical scenario, the outcomes of which are still unpredictable.

2021 was a very atypical year for the Laminazione Sottile Group, when the continuation of the pandemic and growing energy and economic pressures collided with increased market demand for aluminium and new commercial opportunities which necessitated rapid responses in terms of development strategies and innovation.

5 knowledge to optimise the ability to work as a team and adopting more effective practices and organisational models. Creating the Academy and managing its first year of activity relied on the enormous commitment of the resources involved, who developed a training plan of almost 200 courses on hard and soft skills delivered in different ways (classroom, onthe-job, online), by internal trainers or through partnerships with leading universities and institutions. Our people are the beating heart of our development plan, and encouraging their professional and personal growth is imperative for a Group such as ours that strives to improve year after year. Similarly, we are committed to protecting occupational health and safety and to supporting local communities. In the second year of the pandemic, Laminazione Sottile continued to respect the measures adopted to prevent the spread of the virus and implemented an intensive and continuous internal information campaign to actively promote appropriate conduct while informing employees of the changing local and national legislation. At the same time, it never ceased its support for the region, supporting cultural events and public health initiatives and supplying thousands of aluminium containers to public and social canteens or to initiatives to cut food waste. The 2021 Sustainability Report aims to show this ability to look towards the future despite the growing complexities of the situation, always with a view to continuous improvement and development. It is this ability that unites all of the Group's employees and brings us to the cusp of 100 years of business.

The Laminazione Sottile Group evolved from the company of the same name, founded in Naples in 1923 and specialising in the manufacture of semi-finished aluminium products. After an initial period that focused on the production of closures and tubes for toothpaste, a process of industrial development began, based on diversifying the product range and aiming at new markets, while simultaneously investing in human resources, machinery and technology. In the 1960s, the plant was transferred to a 200,000 m2 site in the industrial zone of San Marco Evangelista (CE), which is still in operation today and produces aluminium rolls. Production has grown year after year, and in 2016 broke the threshold of 100,000 tonnes per year The company is one of Europe's biggest manufacturers of rolled aluminium, with exports representing over 65% of total production. In 1991 the company embarked on an expansion strategy through the creation of other companies.

MODELORGANISATIONAL

The Supervisory Body responds to the eligibility criteria provided for under Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001 and specified in the Organisation, Management and Control Model: integrity, autonomy and independence, and competence.

PURSUANT TO ITALIAN LEGISLATIVE DECREE

The duties, powers and responsibilities of the Supervisory Body are defined by a specific regulation. In conducting its control activities, the Supervisory Body is supported by various corporate departments - the Internal Audit department in particular - which in 2021 conducted audits on major corporate processes and the main areas identified within the Model as “sensitive”.

24 5.1

Businesses in Italy adopt Management and Control Models that define a set of principles, rules of conduct and operating procedures aimed at preventing the commission of unlawful conduct and guaranteeing ethical practices by all those who operate on behalf of the company, respecting the principles of lawfulness, integrity and transparency. The Models are approved by the BoD and contain general principles and specific rules. They are divided into a “general section” and “special sections” aimed at integrating the content in relation to certain categories of offence for which corporate responsibility applies, and are supported by administrative, organisational and technical procedures. To ensure the effective and constant application of the Organisation, Management and Control Models, and pursuant to article 6 of Italian Legislative Decree 231/01, a Supervisory Body vested with autonomous powers of initiative and control is established for each company, which is responsible for monitoring the correct implementation of the Organisation and Management model and providing for its relative update. As at 31 December 2021, four Supervisory Bodies (SB) are operational within the Group structure, specifically at the companies Laminazione Sottile SpA, Italcoat Srl, Contital Srl and IPS Srl. The SB is a collegiate body composed of three members, of which one is appointed Chair.

231/01, THE CODE OF ETHICS AND THE ANTI-CORRUPTION CODE (GRI: 205-1, 205-3, 206-1)

The Code of Ethics expresses the ethical commitments and responsibilities of the company in the context of its activities towards its customers and in the context of its internal activities with regard to all stakeholders including shareholders, employees and collaborators. The Models are based on the adoption of a Code of Ethics, which represents the principles, values and rules of conduct of the Companies of the Laminazione Group.Sottile In 2022 the Models adopted by Group companies will be updated in order to take into account the recent legislative changes brought about by the introduction of new predicate crimes.

The Supervisory Body is an executive body and reports directly to the Board of Directors, to which it refers any breaches of the Model.

25

The Code is therefore a set of principle that must be respected by all of its recipients in order to ensure the proper functioning, competent management and image of the Laminazione Sottile Group. The Code is supported by anonymous and protected reporting channels for breaches to the standards and the principles contained therein, which guarantee the anonymity of the whistleblower and are directed to the Supervisory Bodies of the various Group companies. The Code of Ethics can be consulted on the company websites and a notice on the adoption of the Code is given to all new hires; as regards suppliers, in order to be admitted for inclusion on the Supplier Register, all suppliers must acknowledge and accept the Code. In 2021 there were no identified or reported cases of corruption or anti-competitive conduct. Specifically, anti-corruption is governed by the 231 Model of each Company which considers, among relevant offences, those referred to in Articles 24 and 25 of the Decree, which refer to corruption in the Public Administration, and Article 25-ter, which includes private sector corruption and incitement to private sector corruption. To date, the Companies of the Laminazione Sottile Group have not deemed it necessary to adopt a specific anticorruption policy.

5.2

ANDPROTECTIONDATASECURITY

Privacy of information and data protection: the Laminazione Sottile Group confirms its constant commitment to personal data protection in line with European law.

In 2021, given the increased volume and type of data that had to be processed, partly in order to manage the pandemic (e.g., adoption of body temperature monitors in office entrances, Green Pass management procedures and relative access controls by employers, etc.), the Group's commitment to manage sensitive data in a way that meets legal requirements and also protects the security and priorities of the business became even more important. Furthermore, in 2018 the adoption of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) represented a renewed commitment to data protection. The Group is constantly committed to updating tools such as the data processing register, company policies, information, internal appointments, External Manager appointments, System Administrator appointments and regular updates, etc.

26 SUSTAINABILITYENVIRONMENTAL 6

For many years the Laminazione Sottile Group has adopted an environmental impact policy based on an approach to manufacturing that integrates long-term environmental sustainability targets, mainly aimed at reducing atmospheric emissions, improving energy efficiency, reducing industrial water consumption and the relative effluents, and reducing the amount of waste produced and the quantity of ancillary materials used in the production process. This has all been made possible thanks to a large-scale investment plan and the constant research into more environmentally sustainable products, processes and technologies. The “Integrated Policy for Quality, Safety and the Environment” clarifies, for each company, the strategy of the Laminazione Sottile Group, in terms of the values, vision and mission, and the commitment to adopt the principles of sustainable development, guaranteeing continuous improvements in environmental performance through the adoption of specific KPIs that precisely indicate the most effective areas for improvement. In particular, the Group aims to optimise resource management and reduce the risks of pollution, polluting emissions and waste.

The Laminazione Sottile Group is strongly committed to recovering scrap aluminium from industrial processes. The semifinished products are supplied to customers that transform the material into finished products. The swarf is returned to the factory, where it is reused and transformed into rolled aluminium in a genuinely sustainable process that aligns perfectly with the principles of the circular economy. The Group is also committed to maximising the reuse of production waste. In 2021 no significant fines or sanctions were given to Group companies for noncompliance with environmental regulations. is 100% recyclable for number times losing any its of aluminium represents a key environmental advantage because primary production (smelting) is energyintensive (approx. 16 kWh/ kg), but this falls by 95% for secondary smelting of recycled (approx. 0.4aluminiumkWh/kg).

The Group's companies are certified according to Standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, which emphasises resource optimisation, context analysis, stakeholder engagement, continuous improvements in performance and compliance with all applicable regulations.

As part of its commitment to continuous improvement, the Group has voluntarily adopted Regulation (EC) 1221/2009 (EMAS III) and defined an environmental management programme that aligns with the Environmental Policy which is reviewed by Company Management and audited and approved once a year by a third-party certification body.

Specific internal communication campaigns aimed at all company employees aim to raise awareness of the certifications obtained and the importance of recycling and promote the adoption of effective waste separation practices.

AUTHORISATIONENVIRONMENTALINTEGRATED(IEA)

30 6 enVironmentAl sustAinAbility 6.2

Some of the Group's plants - specifically those operated by Laminazione Sottile S.p.A., Italcoat S.r.l. and IPS S.r.l. - hold Integrated Environmental Authorisations (IEA - in italian AIA), the measure for preventing and reducing pollution from the IPPC activities described in annex VIII of Italian Legislative Decree 152/06, as amended, and which defines measures aimed at preventing or reducing emissions into the air, water or soil, including those relative to waste, with a view to improving and monitoring the level of environmental protection.

The Authorisations were issued after a preliminary phase during which the following actions were carried out: • collection, sharing and analysis of plant and organisation data • monitoring of compliance with all legal environmental limits and the use of the best available technologies • identification of any actions aimed at continuous improvement • definition of a monitoring and control plan In 2021, following the IEA review process, Laminazione Sottile was awarded a new authorisation decree which considered the various environmental improvement projects implemented, such as the installation of a new fume extraction system in the aluminium foundry which channels the emissions from all of the smelters into four abatement systems, optimising system performance and reducing pollutant emissions. Meanwhile, approvals were given for the new plants scheduled for completion in 2022, which are aimed at increasing production capacity.

The company Contital S.r.l., which does not fall under the scope of the IPPC directive, holds the Sole Environmental Permit (in italian AUA) introduced under Italian Presidential Decree 59 of 2013 which amalgamates all existing environmental procedures set forth in industry regulations.

SUSTAINABILITYMAXIMUMDISPOSALRECOVERYENERGYCOMPOSTINGRECYCLINGMINIMISATIONREUSESUSTAINABILITYMINIMUMAND

For many years the Laminazione Sottile Group has been committed to increasing its use of the best available technologies aimed at: • reducing waste • reusing waste • recovering waste Waste management plays a major role in the definition of an effective environmental sustainability strategy. In this context, Laminazione Sottile has set itself the objective of preventing and reducing its environmental impact and pursuing the overall improvement of the “humanenvironment” system. Reducing the volume and hazardousness of the waste produced is an essential element of the integrated waste recycling and recovery policy. Due to the complexities associated with waste management, there is a high level of differentiation in the available technologies in the field which aim to improve the environmental economic efficiency of waste management cycles. The plants of the Laminazione Sottile Group produce special (industrial) waste and municipal solid waste. Municipal solid waste is collected and managed by the council. In line with the Group's sustainability targets, industrial waste (such as slag and dross, dust from foundry fume extraction, sludge from waste water treatment processes, exhaust refractories, etc.) are transferred to specific external disposal companies, selected on the basis of reliability criteria and authorised according to the current legislation, with the aim of minimising the amount sent for disposal. Thanks to more rigorous management, in 2021 total waste produced by the Laminazione Sottile Group fell by an average of 4.5% per tonne of processed aluminium compared to the previous year. In addition to its commitment to reduce overall waste, the Group is also attentive to where its waste is directed to, another highly impactful element in terms of sustainability and the circular economy. In 2021, over 90% of all waste produced was classified as non-hazardous. Furthermore, 90% of all waste was sent for recovery, while only 10% was sent for disposal by qualified external waste disposal companies. For municipal solid waste, the Group promotes effective waste separation practices through internal communication campaigns aimed at all those who work at its plants (employees, collaborators, third-party firms), in order to optimise waste collection and reduce the amount of mixed waste.

In order to pursue our constant commitment to environmental sustainability, we installed an innovative plant to dry the filter media used to treat the lubro-refrigerant fluids in cold rolling plants. In 2021, this plant enabled a 41% reduction in the production of used media sent for 32

BEST PRACTICES -

Laminazione Sottile has invested in the design and development of no-rinse treatment plants. This process generates a significantly lower quantity of waste water and, therefore, a lower volume of sludge.

EXAMPLESNO-RINSETREATMENT

FILTER MEDIA DRYING PLANT

The chemical surface treatment of rolled aluminium increases the adhesion of polymer films and improves resistance to corrosion. Traditionally, surface treatments involve dipping the rolled aluminium in chemical baths at controlled temperatures and concentrations before rinsing with demineralised water. In these processes, the products must be rinsed to remove any excess chemicals deposited on the surface of the metal. The water used to rinse the products is directed into a chemical-physical waste water treatment plant which generates sludge that must be disposed of as “special non-hazardous waste”.

6 enVironmentAl sustAinAbility

The installation of a no-rinse plant in 2021 enabled a 19% reduction in the sludge produced per tonne of aluminium processed, avoiding the equivalent of over 125 tonnes of sludge.

disposal per tonne of aluminium, avoiding a total of 143 tonnes of waste.

FOUNDRY WASTE

33

The goal to reduce the dust and waste generated by foundry slag and dross has been tackled by piloting the use of a waste cooling plant to improve the plant's environmental performance in line with the relative BAT-C for the non-ferrous metals sector. The cooling system treats all types of foundry waste through the indirect application of water followed by a sieving process to separate the aluminium from the waste oxides. The system also guarantees a higher metal content of the treated waste, reducing the overall amount generated. Combined with the more rigorous management of the slagging process, this new system: 1. reduces diffuse dust emissions generated during the transport, storage, handling and loading of waste onto vehicles; 2. reduces the amount of waste sent for disposal; 3. enables the recovery of aluminium which is reintroduced into the production cycle.

• The installation of incinerators for solvents produced by the finishing lines with RTO (Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer) technology which, along with the introduction of the CTR2, enabled average monthly natural gas consumption to be reduced by around 77,000 standard cubic metres, resulting in an annual saving of 850,000 SCM of natural gas and around 1,700 tonnes of CO2

• The installation of photovoltaic plants with a total output of 3,300 kW, saving around 4,125,000 kWh and around 1,800 tonnes of CO2 per year.

• The installation of inverters on fan and pump motors enabled savings of around 2,450,000 kWh and 1,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

(GRI 302-1, 302-3, 302-4)

• The general installation of recuperative burners for all plate heating furnaces and foil heat treatment plants; in 2021, these systems enabled a reduction in natural gas consumption of about 1,700,000 standard cubic metres per year, reducing CO2 emissions by about 3,500 tonnes per year.

• The installation of LED lights in the interior and exterior areas of the Group's Italian plants, saving approximately 950,000 kWh of electricity per year and reducing CO2 emissions by some 410 tonnes per year.

• The installation of air handling units to provide air conditioning in the electrical control rooms of the plants, saving some 2,800,000 kWh per year and enabling a reduction in around 1,200 tonnes of CO2 per year.

• The installation of a post-combustion fume heat recovery system that enabled savings of around 100,000 SCM of natural gas and some 200 tonnes of CO2.

RESOURCESENERGY

Considering the type of production and the size of the companies belonging to the Laminazione Sottile Group, electricity and natural gas consumption represents a major aspect of the Group's environmental impact, and consequently optimising the use of resources is a indispensable tool to achieving its sustainability targets. In this regard, for several years the Group has pursued a series of actions aimed at monitoring environmental performance and quantifying its energy use and consumption through the analysis of key performance indicators, using the results as a basis to launch major projects to optimise consumption per unit of product both by improving the energy management process and increasing plant efficiency.

Over the years the Group has succeeded in significantly reducing its energy intensity per tonne of product, as demonstrated by some of its major projects in this field:

• The installation of a heat recovery system for flue gases emitted from furnaces, reducing the consumption of natural gas to heat process fluids and saving some 2,300,000 kWh, 600,000 standard cubic metres of natural gas and 2,300 tonnes of CO2 per year.

• The general installation of regenerative burners for all smelting furnaces, which in 2021 enabled a reduction in natural gas consumption of about 7,000,000 standard cubic metres per year and reduced CO2 emissions by about 14,500 tonnes per year.

5,500,000

FUTURE INVESTMENTS

• Installation of a further 1,500 kW of photovoltaic panels that will provide savings of 1,850,000 kWh per year and avoid the emission of a further 825 tonnes of CO2

• an innovative waste-recovery smelting furnace which will reduce consumption by using the combustion heat of the existing pollutants while completely removing all hazardous substances from flue gases. 35

The total amount of water withdrawn in 2021 by the Group's four Italian plants was 775,000 m3, a 24% reduction in water consumption per tonne of aluminium compared to 2020, corresponding to 250,000 m3 of water saved, despite the increase in production at all four plants.

M3 OF WATER SAVED IN 2021

• The installation of a new coating line with a system that extracts VOCs by oxidising the solvents while also recovering the heat produced during the process, which is then used to supply the furnace, resulting in a substantial reduction in natural gas consumption and CO2 emissions.

• Optimisation of the hot rolling line with a new section that will enable hot rolling at lower thicknesses. This will enable considerable savings due to the lower amount of energy required for hot rolling compared to cold rolling.

Almost all of the cooling water used at the plants is recovered within a closed system and reused, while process water is also treated and reused. In 2021, this enabled savings of 5,500,000 m3 of water, in line with the current IPPC regulations. Water used in cooling processes is recovered continuously thanks to a cooling tower Consequently, system. the amount of water withdrawn from the wells is limited to the amount necessary for the reintegration of evaporation water and the minimum overflow level required to maintain the characteristics of the recirculating water.

PROJECTS TO BE IMPLEMENTED IN 2022:

• Installation of a modern 24 MW electricity generator at the Laminazione Sottile plant, in collaboration with a long-standing partner, which will support the national electricity grid through the Capacity Market tool. The generator will activate automatically during peak consumption times to compensate for the imbalance on the national electricity grid, avoiding the recourse to the coal-fired power stations (which have very high impacts in terms of CO2 emissions) currently used by the TSO (Terna) to balance the transmission grid. This highly efficient electricity generator is powered by natural gas and will avoid the emission of up to 11 tonnes of CO2 for each hour of operation.

The use of water sources is predominantly associated with the cooling processes required in many of the Group's production activities and, to a lesser extent, process water. All of the Group's companies use groundwater withdrawn from the Group's wells which are duly authorised by provincial decree.

• a new, highly energy-efficient rotating furnace able to process foundry waste to increase the recovery capacity of waste aluminium and recycle post-consumer waste.

For cooling processes, all of the Group's companies use groundwater withdrawn from the Group's wells. Water resources are recovered within a closed system and reused.

The casting division will be expanded with:

The management of atmospheric emissions is stringently monitored and subject to Italian and European legislation that requires the Group's companies to implement increasingly rigorous controls. Protecting the environment requires major investments which, over the years, have led the Laminazione Sottile Group to adopt some of the leading emission-reducing Thesolutions.commitment shown by Group companies has delivered significant results, as proven by our atmospheric emissions monitoring data which show pollutant concentrations that are always well below the legally permitted limits This has been made possible by the adoption of advanced technologies aimed at continuous improvement and maintaining plant efficiency through advanced maintenance Moreover, programmes.for many years Laminazione Sottile has been committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions: this commitment to improve our direct (Scope 1) emissions, which mainly derive from the combustion of natural gas, is pursued by improving our energy efficiency. In addition, the plant is part of the European Emission Trading System, which requires the company to obtain permits that cover the amount of CO2 released. This mechanism is a further incentive to reduce the direct impact of greenhouse gas emissions. In 2021 the Group reduced its direct CO2 emissions per unit of product by 7%, equating to some 4,500 tonnes of CO2 avoided Indirect (Scope 2) emissions are largely attributable to electricity consumption from the grid. As well as improving the energy efficiency of our processes through targeted projects to improve both our plants and procedures, the Group is continually increasing the proportion of energy produced from renewable sources thanks to the installation of photovoltaic systems.

EMISSIONSATMOSPHERIC

VOC EMISSIONS RELEASED BY THE FUME EXTRACTORS IN THE COLD ROLLING MILLS HAVE ALSO FALLEN BY 50% SINCE 2014 THANKS TO THE TARGETED OPTIMISATION OF ABATEMENT PROCESSES. In 2021 indirect CO2 emissions per unit of product fell by 9%, equating to a further 4,500 tonnes of CO2 avoided External (Scope 3) emissions depend on a number of factors which cannot be directly controlled but which the company is able to influence. To reduce the environmental impact of its business, Laminazione Sottile is committed to: Increasing the amount of scrap and waste used as raw materials in the production process, reducing the general impact of primary aluminium manufacture from bauxite, which produces around 6 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of aluminium produced. The amount of secondary aluminium (scrap) used in 2021 rose by over 5,000 tonnes compared to the previous year, corresponding to 30,000 tonnes of CO2 avoided. - Where it is not possible to replace the primary aluminium with scrap or waste, the company aims to procure the raw materials from suppliers that only use renewable energy.

(GRI 305-2, 305-4, 305-7)

(GRI 401-3, 406-1) The Laminazione Sottile Group rejects all forms of discrimination against all those who operate, in any capacity, within the company. Specifically, discrimination on the grounds of gender, age, health, nationality, or political or religious beliefs is prohibited. The adoption of an Organisational Model pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, as well as a confidential reporting system, represents a mechanism for all those who work or collaborate with Group companies to report any breaches or unlawful conduct to the Supervisory Body. In 2021, no cases of discrimination were recorded. Over the years the Laminazione Sottile Group has also been increasing the number of women operating in the company, not only in clerical roles but also in historically male-dominated technical fields. In 2021 a project was launched to promote the recruitment of women to manual roles. The option to take maternity or paternity leave is a key indicator, reducing the risk of parents not returning to work after the birth of a child. Both the rate of return after maternity/paternity leave, as well as the number of employees remaining in post a year after returning demonstrate that almost all employees who took parental leave both returned to work and remained in the workforce.

INVESTIGATIONS

Particular attention is given to engaging workers, who are involved in activities to continuously assess and mitigate health and safety risks during internal inspections to identify potential sources of risk, adopting systems to report and analyse near misses, unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and establishing anonymous reporting channels for any situation that may result in work-related injuries or ill health. Regular opportunities to discuss

The Laminazione Sottile Group has voluntarily adopted an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) with a view to ensuring continuous improvement and engagement among workers. The OHSMS is certified by an independent third party body in line with Standard ISO 45001 (OHSAS 18001) and applies to all workers that are employed by the company or not employed but those work and/or place of work is controlled by the Theorganisation.OHSMS is the responsibility of the Prevention and Protection Service, which consists of a team of resources who each yearsupported by specialist consultants and the continuous involvement of company management, trade union representatives and workers - set tangible and measurable health and safety targets and define the relative performance indicators. In compliance with legal provisions for OHSMSs and following a “Plan-Do-Check-Act” model, the Company has established appropriate procedures to assess occupational health and safety risks. According to these procedures, working activities are analysed and dangers are identified on a regular basis, and in any case after any report and/or event concerning health and safety or any changes that may impact the site or organisation of work. Consequently, working with all interested parties and the support of external experts, appropriate preventive and protective measures are defined that aim to remove the danger or risk in line with the objectives of the OHSMS.

8 48 OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND IDENTIFICATION OF DANGERS, RISK ASSESSMENT AND INCIDENT

The Laminazione Sottile Group is particularly attentive to monitoring and analysing accidents in order to take immediate action aimed at managing and mitigating risks to occupational health and safety. Monitoring is conducted constantly through the use of accident indices, specifically the Frequency Rate and Severity Rate. These are posted on the HSE bulletin board at each Plant. When defining these indices, the Group considers contracted workers as employees as there can be no distinction in the attention given to any health and safety incident. Analysing the root cause of the incidents is a particularly important step, with many injuries relating to bruises caused by carelessness. Consequently, each year the Laminazione Sottile Group invests in training and educational programmes to raise awareness on occupational health and safety topics.

the OHSMS are defined and organised in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 with Plant Management, the HR Department, the Prevention and Protection Service and Workers’ HSE Representatives. During these events, the policies and actions to be taken to improve occupational health and safety are discussed and defined based on the results of the continuous process to identify and categorise risk.

49

According to the analyses and inspections conducted by the Prevention and Protection Service, the main risk factors leading to injuries are as follows: • presence of handling equipment; • use of lifting equipment; • aluminium casting; • use of acidic degreasers. Thanks to the considerable and continuous attention and investments of the Laminazione Sottile Group in health and safety, none of these risks led to accidents with severe consequences during the reporting period.

To mitigate the identified risks, the Group is committed to providing training and information to its workers about occupational health and safety. In line with the OHSMS, a training programme is defined each year. Training activities are defined by the Prevention and Protection Service based on the analysis of reports of unsafe acts. As such, these training activities are not limited to the topics required by law (Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 and the StateRegions Agreement of 21/12/2011),but also cover operating procedures and instructions. Onthe-job training and education is a particular priority. The aim is to progressively increase workers’ skills to promote the more conscious and informed management of occupational health and safety risks.

PROTECTING WORKERS’ HEALTH (GRI 403-6)

The Laminazione Sottile Group protects the health of its workers through various tools: • all employees may freely and independently access the services of the Metasalute supplementary healthcare fund for workers in the metalworking industry; • an annual flu vaccination programme is held at the Group's plants which is free to access and anonymous; • during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Laminazione Sottile Group signed up to the vaccination programme promoted by the Caserta Local Health Department and collected the names of interested participants.

The Group's commitment to Health and Safety is represented by over 3,000 hours of classroom training delivered by professional trainers, and more than 2,000 hours of on-the-job coaching and information delivered in 2021.

MEDICAL CARE (GRI 403-3)

53

All of the Group's Italian plants have appointed a qualified Company Physician who meets the requirements defined in art. 38 of Italian Legislative Decree 81/08. Each year the physician draws up a health monitoring plan and organises regular and preventive medical appointments. The Group aims to promote attendance of medical appointments by ensuring that they are held at employees’ place of work and during working hours. The physician is also involved in the process to identify the sources of occupational health and safety risks through the annual inspections conducted on work premises, the meeting held pursuant to art. 35, and active participation in the production of the Risk Assessment Document. As well as presenting the anonymous collective data, the physician is also involved in analysing the status and effectiveness of the actions taken to mitigate occupational health and safety risk over the years. The Laminazione Sottile Group guarantees the confidentiality of all personal data on workers’ health and safety by entrusting the processing of all data and documentation to the appointed Company Physicians. Furthermore, simulations and exercises are carried out to prepare and test the readiness of the appointed emergency personnel for all eventualities.

The Laminazione Sottile Group adopted all necessary precautionary measures to prevent and contain the COVID-19 pandemic, adopting its procedures to changing national and local regulations. Using the most suitable and effective methods, the Group informed all workers and external suppliers about the provisions issued by the Authorities, providing and/or posting special information leaflets and pamphlets at the entrance and To reduce the risks of infection from COVID-19, Group restructuredcompaniesworkinghoursintodifferentshifts.

MEASURES TO PREVENT AND CONTAIN THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 IN WORK ENVIRONMENTS

The Laminazione Sottile Group is committed to avoiding and mitigating all occupational health and safety risks both for its employees and for all workers not employed by the Group which fall into its scope of influence. In particular, the activities conducted by third parties at their places of work are monitored through inspections conducted by the Prevention and Protection Service aimed at identifying the risks present and the dangerous actions associated with their activities. To this end, an economic system has been introduced to identify inappropriate behaviour and promote an increased awareness of health and safety among the suppliers that operate at the Group's sites. The Group's focus also extends to workers who are not employed by the Group and whose job and place of work are not directly controlled by the organisation by way of an initial supplier certification process and regular audits which monitor the management of health and safety risks.

Furthermore, working hours were modified in order to avoid that overcrowding in the workplace and to prevent gatherings when entering and exiting. The Group closed offices where remote working could be reasonably adopted or otherwise limited in-person attendance to the minimum. All national and international work travel was suspended, even if the trips had already been agreed or organised, except where essential for the continuation of working activities or to maintain business relationships. Finally, the Group continued to apply health and safety protocols and complied with all additional hygiene measures issued by the Ministry of Health as a further method of prevention. Furthermore, the Company Physician promptly alerted the companies to any sensitive situations to ensure that employees could be protected while respecting their privacy. In view of their role in the assessment of risks and the provision of healthcare services, the company physician proposed the adoption of diagnostic tools to contain the spread of the virus and protect workers’ health.

Furthermore, it provided information based on professional tasks and contexts, making particular reference to the set of measures adopted with which employees were required to comply, such as the correct use of PPE to help prevent any possible spread of infection. The Group also implemented access procedures for employees and external suppliers, which required body temperature monitoring before entering the work place. Furthermore, access to external personnel was reduced for all nonessential activities. Daily cleaning and regular sanitising procedures were adopted by all Group companies in offices, work environments, work stations and communal areas, and the recommended hygiene precautions were promoted. Particular focus was given to hand washing with the provision of hand sanitiser. As regards PPE, the Laminazione Sottile Group provided a monthly supply of face masks, deemed essential to contain COVID-19, to all employees. The companies also limited access to nonessential communal areas, such as smoking areas, water and coffee dispensers and any other area not required for the performance of professional activities, and ensured that offices were well ventilated. Access to professional spaces was monitored and a 1.5 metre social distancing rule was enforced.

SUPPLY MANAGEMENTCHAIN AND THE PROCUREMENT POLICY

Since the start of 2021, the unique situation presented by the global health emergency added considerable pressure to prices across all markets, which gradually increased throughout the year and took on evident speculative connotations towards the end of 2021. This further complicated procurement activities as the risk of shortages that had begun to emerge in the previous year coincided with continuous price fluctuations and the changes to the economic and service conditions made the suppliers of all raw materials, consumer goods, energy and transport services. Consequently, the Procurement department of the Laminazione Sottile Group was faced with hitherto unheard-of operating conditions characterised by two entirely new phenomena: - the need to renegotiate existing contacts that suppliers had reneged on due to force majeure; - the increasingly latent risk of raw materials shortages among suppliers (particularly in the chemical and metals sectors), leading in many cases to delivery delays and resulting extraordinary measures to guarantee the continuity of the Group's production.

The Group has always been very attentive to the topic of sustainable procurement, as proven by: • the preferential use of marine and intermodal transportation as opposed to road haulage. In 2021, due to the increase in demand and the need to reduce delivery times for customers, the use of overland transportation rose from 76% in 2020 to 82% in 2021; • use of suppliers able to guarantee the environmental sustainability of the products sold wherever the technical requirements of the plants allow; • strong preference for suppliers equipped to recycle post-industrial waste materials (e.g., scrap delivered directly to suppliers with appropriate transformation systems).

The Group has adopted a supplier certification and assessment procedure that regulates the supply certification and registration process and periodically assess level of service provided by suppliers. Suppliers are required to provide a series of certifications, declarations and documents for certification and re-certification. The main requirements are identified based on the products/services offered and to ensure the correct management of quality, environment, occupational health and safety and food safety aspects. The procedure also regulates the frequency and methods of supplier audits. Supplier certification is the responsibility of an assessment team consisting of the Procurement Manager, Category Manager/ Buyer, Plant Quality, User Body and Finance Department. In 2021 no significant changes to the supply chain of the Laminazione Sottile Group were made.

12 64 COMMUNICATION

(GRI 403-4, 418-1) Throughout the pandemic, the Communication department played a key role in informing personnel about the rules and procedures implemented to manage the emergency and the conduct to be adopted at the Group's plants. National legislation was introduced to contain the spread of infection which required the Group to request specific information - including of a confidential nature - from employees, collaborators and third-party firms, and, as a result, privacy became a central topic in 2021. The methods used to collect and store data, as well as the measures adopted to protect personal data from unauthorised third party access or use in compliance with GDPR, guaranteed that the intended use of the data was always clear in all data flows. In this regard, no privacy breaches or data losses were recorded among customers, employees or users that interact with the company via social media or corporate mailing lists. 65

The external communication activities pursued in 2021 aimed to further increase the Group's visibility by focusing on product innovations, new certifications and other environmental and social sustainability initiatives. In particular, the communication of the company Contital prioritised the needs of end consumers, organising several social medial campaigns to promote the products that most respond to the needs of the market, such as the aluminium plates and the food delivery lines such as the Eclipse and bare and lacquered Smoothwall ranges. Meanwhile, the management of the brand store on Amazon marketplace in Italy continued, increasing synergies with online distributors and refining direct communication with end consumers.

12 CommuniCAtion

Sustainability was a key point of discussion, with various articles posted on the company’s online blogs and the publication of specific social media posts about recycling, environmental impact and the circular economy. Topics such as food-safe aluminium and the use of this material in everyday life were equally important. To respond to the demands and concerns of a growing community of consumers, the number of posts about the use of aluminium containers was increased (e.g., when reheating food in traditional ovens and microwaves, or storing food in the refrigerator or freezer). The promotion of the benefits offered by aluminium and its methods of use was based on current legislation and the scientific data produced in studies conducted by the Ministry of Health (through the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, the technical-scientific body of the Italian Health Service) or other international research institutions such as the Nehring CommunicationInstitute.onsocial media was supported by training activities aimed at specific categories of professionals, delivered via webinars organised in collaboration with various bodies with as Formalimenti - an online training platform aimed at buyers and companies in the food sector - and Federcarni, the Association of Italian Butchers. ThanksCompetition.toits growing focus on technological innovations to benefit the surrounding environment, the Group's companies earned various national and international awards and certifications in 2021: i2r Packaging Solutions received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, which was awarded in 2020 but never officially handed over due to COVID, in the “International Trade” category. Contital's range of single-use aluminium plates and aluminium wrinklewall containers, both available in bare or lacquered versions, were awarded the ReMade in Italy certification, class A+. 66 EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION

67 - WASTE + RECYCLING

The - Waste + Recycling initiative was promoted by an ad hoc communication campaign on the company's social media pages and those of Legambiente Campania, as well as at specific events and press conferences organised at holiday farms (agriturismi) and other locations in the various provinces across the region.

One of the key sustainability and environmental initiatives supported by the Group was the 9th Edition of CSRMed, the Mediterranean Forum of Shared Social Responsibility. The Laminazione Sottile Group took part as a speaker in the “NRRP and the Circular Economy” and “Communication and Sustainability” sessions while also actively promoting and coordinating the “Aluminium and Sustainable Packaging” round table devoted to new consumption and production models. Other significant event was the Green Med Symposium, in which Contital discussed supply chain partnerships and resource management to promote eco-sustainable packaging. During the event, government institutions, business associations, consortia, public governance bodies and universities discussed various topics such as the Green Economy, the ecological and digital transitions, waste management and the sustainable development of the south of Italy.

OTHER SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES

A specific communication campaign was organised to promote the “- Waste + Recycling” project held in collaboration with Legambiente Campania The initiative aims to promote and optimise the use of aluminium to combat food waste. Participating restaurateurs in Campania could use the aluminium containers produced by Contital to enable customers to take any uneaten food home with them on request.

The campaign aimed to promote the culture of food as a value, to reduce waste and to increase awareness that, by adopting separated waste collection practices, products made from recyclable materials can be reused as new products with a lower environmental impact.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

The main goal of the Group's Internal Communication activities is to consolidate the knowledge and sharing of company values and ensure ever greater integration between Manageddepartments.centrally for all of the Group's Italian plants, the topics covered by internal communications ranged from environmental and social sustainability to prevention and safety (both physical and virtual), as well as events relevant to the Group and the successes achieved by specific production areas.

INTERNAL COMMUNICATION AND THE PANDEMIC

As the pandemic went on, internal communication was proven to be an indispensable tool to promptly inform and update employees about changes to the company procedures adopted to manage the COVID-19 pandemic. Specific content was created to raise employee awareness about the vaccines and inform them about specific days organised by local institutions to vaccinate company employees. At the same time, clear and easily understandable notices were published to update staff about new local and national regulations regarding the mandatory use of Green Passes at private companies, or the introduction of temperature monitoring detectors at site entrances, always with a view to protecting both individual employees and the company community.

NOVEL: DELLA STESSA ARANCIA

One of the most valuable moments during the Group's mission to create a shared company culture was the publication and internal distribution of the book “Spicchi della Stessa Arancia” (literally, Segments of the Same Orange) created to commemorate the work, commitment and foresight of Guido Moschini in the centenary year of his birth. The work was not designed to be a self-congratulatory book but rather a narrative that captures the spirit of the company, sharing the values on which the Group's history and success has been built with employees and stakeholders of Laminazione Sottile.

We donated aluminium trays to provide pasta to shelters, food banks and refugee centres. SOUP KITCHENS We responded to requests from several soup kitchens managed by national and local charities and donated thousands of aluminium containers to provide food to an increasing number of people affected by the repercussions of the economic and social crisis caused by COVID.

We provided aluminium trays to support the social canteen held in the cloisters of the church of Santa Caterina in Naples. Due to COVID, the event was held weekly in a takeaway format, and provided around 3,500 meals to 400 people in need in 2021 while recovering around two tonnes of surplus food.
