In the summer of 2010 Downtown Angola completed a long planned restoration. This project has enhanced pedestrian safety and improved the downtown shopping experience. The new brick lined sidewalks, park benches and garbage bins, curbed medians and planters ďŹ lled with owers, foliage and shrubbery all create a charming background for the downtown shopping district. The City of Angola and the Go Angola Downtown Alliance are proud recipients the 2011 Indiana Main Street Community Impact Award from the OfďŹ ce of Community and Rural Affairs, State of Indiana. Future restorations continue to be made.
