WHY TRUCKEE As a child I grew up coming to Truckee and skiing most weekends with my family. When I decided the desk job wasn’t the right fit for me after some time in a big city, I moved to Truckee to try out seasonal work and soon discovered ski patrolling, which I instantly fell in love with. Between the job that I couldn’t get enough of and the incredible days off, I’ve been hooked ever since.

BIG LIFE For me, Truckee is a mecca for outdoor opportunities while still having an incredible, supportive community. During the winter, my days off are spent backcountry skiing and quite often going into work when we have big snow-- avalanche control, while challenging and potentially risky, is a pretty big perk of our job. Summertime is spent mountain biking, getting out on Donner Lake and hiking with the pup. I also love the community activities during the summer-Music in the Park and Truckee Thursdays are some of my favorites.
