Ryan Smith is a current CATT Board Member and Awards Committee chairperson. His grandparents opened the first plumbing supply house in this area; Tahoe Truckee Supply in 1976, and it was run by his father, uncles, and aunt for many years. After parting ways from the family business, his father opened up Sierra Mountain Pipe & Supply in 2007. They distribute Plumbing, HVAC, Waterworks and Irrigation supplies in the greater Tahoe area (Reno, Carson City to Sacramento) and sometimes out of the area. They believe that their customers come first. His family name is on the line every day, so it’s important to him that they show up every day with that mentality to truly go above and beyond in every interaction.

Ryan enjoys being surrounded by experienced business owners and like-minded professionals. This helps him to imagine what his business can grow into. Ryan’s passion stems from growing up in the community and wanting to help other local business owners grow their businesses. Winning the CATT Supplier of the Year award was a shock. He feels honored to be recognized for his hard work.
