(RHS 65-D), expanding to an open, flat shape; white or with a light pink shade. Flowers nodding(!), 2.02.5 cm in diameter. Petals five, emarginate, obovate, about 1 Ă— 0.8 cm. There is one pistil, about 1.2 cm long, perfect. Calyx funnel-shaped or tubular, 0.40.9 cm long, glabrous or some sparing hairs, distinct, red shade. Sepals are broad and triangular, with a red shade. Fruits maturing to black. Flowering season is early April in Tokyo. Prunus incisa has a diploid set of chromosomes (2n = 16). Fuyu-zakura (synonyms Prunus parvifolia Koehne 'Parvifolia', 'Koba-zakura') is an autumn-flowering cherry. It is understood as a hybrid of P. incisa and a form of P. serrulata. The white (RHS 55-D), single flowers are larger than those of the autumn cherry 'Jugatsu-zakura' and are found in
