Soups & Sauces Sweet Blueberry Sauce Makes 2 cups

½ cup sugar 2 teaspoons cornstarch Dash salt ½ cup water 2 cups blueberries 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon lemon rind

Combine first four ingredients in a saucepan. Add blueberries. Bring to a boil; simmer until clear and thickened, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat. Add lemon juice and rind. Chill. Serve over ice cream, cake, pudding, or pancakes. Katherine Mayer
