Beef

Beef Stroganoff Serves 6 8-ounce package egg noodles 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 pound ground beef 1 small onion, minced 1 tablespoon flour 1 teaspoon dry mustard 1 teaspoon salt Ÿ teaspoon pepper 8-ounce can chopped mushrooms ½ cup sour cream (or light sour cream)

Prepare noodles as label directs; drain. Stir in butter or margarine. In large skillet, brown ground beef and onion and drain fat.Then return meat to the pan. In a small bowl, combine flour, mustard, salt, pepper, mushrooms, and their liquid until blended. Add mushrooms mixture to ground beef and cook over medium heat until thickened, about 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream and heat, but do not boil. Serve over noodles. Requires about 30 minutes to prepare. Gail Hobgood
