ISSUE 10 NOVEMBER 2023

CEO'S MESSAGE ERIK KESKULA As we begin Fiscal Year ’24, I want to acknowledge the hard and diligent work of Team Heritage in 2023 that has set us up for a strong year ahead. I am proud of the work you have done across all areas of our business. We produced 39,483 bopd, generated $1.35B of revenue and returned over $270MM to the Government. That is extremely commendable and reminds us how significant our role is in the economic development of our nation. Our safety performance continues to improve, but our journey is not finished. While we improved across our key leading and lagging indicators, people are still getting hurt on the job. We need to learn from those incidents and near misses and continue to improve our defences. And while we had spills associated with our ageing infrastructure, we continue to repair and renew our infrastructure, tanks, and pipeline to improve our asset integrity. Our operations saw 44 new drills, 93 heavy workovers and 10,000ft of upgraded pipeline, which included safely delivering our best onshore and offshore producers of Heritage. I want to commend you all for doing this with a focus on safety, the environment, and our fenceline communities. Our culture of “One Team, One Journey” continued to grow in 2023, as the organisation focused on further strengthening our people structures. We completed the organisational restructuring and filled 76 vacancies within the company. Our employee engagement continued to be a focus with the participation in the Employee Day of Volunteerism and the inaugural Fun Run/Walk Day.

Our impact upon our neighbouring communities continued to be strongly felt in 2023, via the execution of our CSR programmes. The expansion of the Here We Grow programme into formal training for budding agri-preneurs was incredibly well received. We also initiated our technology-focused Heritage Information Technology Training (HITT) programme, which targets fenceline community members, ranging from ages 7-50+. We look forward to building on these initiatives and further strengthening our community relationships in 2024. For all that we accomplished this year, we have an even more exciting and impactful year ahead. Building on our success in 2023, we have a line of sight to deliver 42,000 bopd. We continue to drive improvement in our base performance while building our portfolio and executing our drilling programmes to grow production at competitive margins. I welcome all ideas on how we can achieve our goals. Let us continue to work together across organisational lines, to develop innovative ideas and deliver. The 2024 Kick-off Town Hall highlighted that each business unit, each department, each team, and each and every one of us, is a valued and needed contributor to Heritage’s success. Keep collaborating; working together as “One Team, One Journey” is the only way we can get the job done. Team Heritage, the kickoff is over and now we are focused on our goal.

Time to Get in the Game!

ISSUE ISSUE 10 9NOVEMBER AUGUST 2023

Note from the Editor-in-Chief This issue takes a cursory look back at the achievements of the last fiscal year. Taking the time to acknowledge and celebrate the milestones and highlight the work of teams across the organization, is a fundamental part of our OTOJ mantra. As we dive into FY’24, we thought it important to develop this special issue, to remind us of what we can achieve when we work together, especially as we plan to pursue even bigger goals. FY’24 is all about 42,000 bopd! This issue also showcases some of the moments from our FY’24 Kick-off Townhall where we came together as one team, to understand and declare this year’s “Get in the Game” mantra. We are primed to take on 2024, building upon the success of last year. We’re in it to win it! Arlene Gorin-George
