Monster Parade! Highlights of A deluge of Draculas and a mêlée of monsters descended upon darkest Dorset the day last night.

Crawling out of the gloom came blood-covered Beavers, creepy Cubs, scary Scouts, eerie Explorers, and lurching leaders, all converging in scenes resembling a certain Michael Jackson video. Gathering in one large scary bunch, the hideous spectacle raised more than just a few eyebrows! “This has to be the most frightening collection of scary creatures since my colony discovered someone had eaten all the biscuits” laughed an anonymous Beaver leader.

Ant Attack! 1st Purbrook Scouts woke up to a surprise on Monday - their tents had been invaded by some very hungry ants! Someone had left tuck in the tent and the scouts had to empty the whole tent to get rid of the ants. Fortunately Will was on hand with some shoes to chase the ants away with, and some bug spray came in handy too. “It was really funny” laughed Patrick. A Graveyard Smash

Get your goodies! 1st Denmead are selling all kinds of dino themed merch and more. Why not pop in? Look for their huge dino gate and yellow flag. They are raising funds to send young people to Project 19.

On Monday evening, members of the media team had the pleasure of judging a ‘Monster Mash Cooking Comp’ between Hartplain and Horndean Scout Groups. Culinary delights included green mash with meals presented as monster faces! “They were all delicious!” commented judges Ray and Ethan.
