hazed magazine We support New Zealand’s hidden talent by writing a seasonal magazine dedicated to our local artisans that fosters and supports the growth of small business with tips and guides to help them along their entrepreneurial journey. Hazed stands for empowerment; we are passionate about supporting and encouraging the work of New Zealand artisans and showcasing their products gives valuable exposure to their business. The team at The Hazed Collective compiles each edition in collaboration with contributors from up and down the country. All of our contributors are indies themselves who understand and empathise with the perils and isolation that designers and artisans often face. We’re not just about supporting the ‘big boys’ of design; we are happy to pay kudos to the newbies entering the field as well. In each edition we interview a combination of both. We know the future of industry isn’t about mass production. It’s about supporting the wealth of talent in the local community and cutting down the mileage our products take to reach their final destinations. We dream kiwi-made - just as we all should.

Hazed magazine’s inception was as an online magazine and regularly achieved more than 10,000 hits per edition. With these statistics in mind, The Hazed Collective began crowd funding to raise the funds necessary to launch the magazine in print form. The summer edition sold almost 500 copies with a number of subscriptions now in place for future editions. Hazed retails for $12.50.
