LOCAL RESIDENT LETTER LOCAL RESIDENT LETTER MARCH 2023 MARCH 2023

Thanks to all of you that were able to attend the meeting on Wednesday 1 March at St Andrew's Church. The meeting gave an update on progress and, as always, provided an opportunity to raise any questions or concerns to the joint venture team from Havering Council and Wates

Below is a summary of the questions raised and the actions taken.

Keith confirmed that update letters will go out monthly summarising all the upcoming work once construction starts and Paul will update on the WhatsApp group

Due to start in April and finish in June. Residents have been shown the final design which has also been shared on the WhatsApp group.

Update on the Community Garden project

Residents asked if there will be plants, fruit and veg and whether they could bring their own to plant, which was confirmed by the team

This is still being looked at

Paul has raised this already with the street care team to ask for it to be removed and for the street to be routinely checked/cleaned

Paul has checked with the Post Office and advised that they won't put one in

The closest post box is on London Road, 0 3 miles from Cotleigh Road and a 6 min walk without crossing any main roads

We will request Royal Mail installs one as part of the new estate

This whole project is estimated to be completed by 2030

Selection has been based on proximity to Cotleigh Road, to phase 1 of the scheme

Residents agreed that the Church is much more convenient therefore all future meetings will be booked here for the remainder of 2023

Our site working hours are Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm, Saturday: 8am to 1pm These hours have been set by Havering Council. If we do need to work outside of these hours, we will always write to you and let you know. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
