Fokker Technologies is known in Aerospace as an innovative partner. Fokker has a balanced order portfolio with a balanced distribution between aircraft development programmes at the start of their life cycle and programmes running for a longer period. The famous Tapas innovation project brings Fokker, Ten Cate, NLR and several SMEs together with the aerospace giant Airbus in order to make aircraft lighter through the application of thermoplastic composites. Fokker develops and produces smart lightweight structural parts (tails, wing parts and fuselage panels), electrical systems and landing gear. Fokker also provides integrated products and services to aircraft owners and operators.
