LET’S LOVE ART TOGETHER

You may already have realized what art you like and what you definitely don’t, and possibly even purchased a couple of works by contemporary artists. It may be that you are still sizing them up and have no understanding of what the right choice would be. Maybe one day you’ll wake up in the morning with a strong desire to alter the environment in your flat or house by hanging something new and unusual on the walls. Something your family will be equally fond of. Sometimes it occurs to you that it would be a good idea to have something to bequeath to your children. And you have a feeling that the Klimt reproduction you bought ten years ago, isn’t the thing, don’t you? Among the questions our clients most frequently ask: What’s worth buying? What makes one artist better than another? Do these works appreciate in value? It’s quite natural that you haven’t got quite enough information for making such decisions, for settling on something. А reasonable approach for someone who doesn’t know how things are done in the art world would be to find out as much as possible about it, in order to protect oneself from the unexpected risks before making an expensive purchase. You have a right to know, and we are there to help you. We’ll help you meet the artists, invite you to lectures and private views. We realize that you may not be happy with “client” status, that you may find “Can I help you?” questions from gallery assistants annoying. In our case everything is totally different. You can make friends with us, talk about life or art, and at the same time become more familiar with the art world. Our task is to demolish the wall between you and contemporary art, but if you have already passed this stage – to help you to broaden your horizons by introducing you to new names, new ideas, intriguing events and art works. WHAT WE ARE Gridchinhall is not just an art gallery.

We represent and promote artists and sell their works. We also invite them to live and work in our residency space, helping them integrate into the art industry and the international art context.

We organize exhibitions, private shows and art picnics, as well as arranging meetings with artists.

We provide invitations to residency open days, which give an opportunity to see the creative process as it happens.

We are frequently visited by Western art collectors: a number of large international museums have included our art center in their guides as a must see gallery for organized groups. We are highly rated for our space’s unique atmosphere: you have the opportunity to breathe the fresh air of the Russian countryside while enjoying a definitely European approach to living and working environments. At our place the distant crow of a cockerel mingles with the chime of church bells while the smell of paint bears witness to the creative process taking place before your eyes. Here people feel at ease with each other and with the artists.

OUR ARTISTS

We are associated with a number of artists. Some of them are well known while others are emerging artists. What they have in common is that they are all original artists with their own idiom, personality and view of life. Our center is the perfect art storage for their works, which are available for viewing and purchase any time. Our portfolio of art works is constantly developing. We are always introducing new names and adding new works. Even our regular guests can enjoy something new every time they visit.

Gridchinhall is an integral part of the art environment and a respected gallery.

We participate in every important Russian art event – Moscow Biennial, Moscow International Biennial for Young Art, Cosmoscow Art Fair. Works by our artists were presented at Documenta, Manifesta 10, the 56th Venice Biennale, and were nominated for the Kandinsky and Innovation Prizes. Our artists were also among the winners of the World Press Photo exhibition.

HOUSE AS AN ART SITE

At Gridchinhall we coexist with art 24 hours a day.

Paintings are exhibited in the exhibition space and on the walls of the Gridchins’ private house; a number of objects grace the garden, the parking area and even the roof. The owners of this unique home, with art incorporated in its interiors and landscape, have been the subject of interviews by magazines (Vogue, Elle Decoration, Snob, Afisha), internet portals (The Village, Houzz) and TV channels, from NTV (Dachny Otvet) to Dozhd (TVRain). We’ve managed to do this for ourselves and will do the same for you: identify what you like, select the art works, locate them in the house or yard or garden. We offer delivery and a trial period for art works , as we believe they must fit you like a well-tailored suit. Not only to be your color, style and size, but also to give you a feeling of comfort by communicating with you in an intellectual way.

We’ll be happy to see you. Come and visit, ask questions, find out something new, choose a work you like, buy the best. Join us!
