Message from the President

Michael Wyatt

Foundedin the late 1800s, the city of Hewitt has grown from a small farming community to a city full of loyal residents and growing businesses. In addition, Hewitt has grown to be a city that flourishes with growing families, while still being a lovely place to retire (and even vacation). Wherever you are in life, Hewitt can accommodate.

The Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce has much to do with the city’s success. Staffed by an amazing team—and with the help of wonderful volunteers—the Chamber does a fantastic job of making sure that Hewitt's businesses and residents get connected in order to make this city truly feel like home. Our signature events throughout the year bring everyone together for fun and cooperative community-building. Making sure that businesses in the greater Hewitt area are well-informed of networking opportunities and business-building educational meetings, the Chamber also provides various advertising opportunities for local businesses.

The Chamber’s staff, directors and volunteers are privileged to give back to the community by serving several local organizations, including Christian Women’s Job Corps, Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry, Hunger Free Midway ISD, Midway ISD Education Foundation, Hewitt Lions Club, Kiwanis Club and Caritas of Waco.

Looking back at 2022 has been very encouraging, as I have seen Hewitt residents and businesses continue to love, serve and grow their wonderful community. As we look forward to 2023, the Chamber will continue to offer endless benefits to our members, while keeping the safety of our community a top priority.

The founders of Hewitt strived to build the amazing community we now enjoy today. As we start this new year, the Greater Hewitt Chamber will continue to do its part to be a community that is expanding in prosperity and growth.
