The Stony Brook Film Festival is in its 28th year at the Staller Center for the Arts. This year’s Festival will run from Thursday, July 20, through Saturday, July 29, 2023.

ducer Brandi Carlile has added select headline dates to her extensive 2023 Performing Arts July 21st and 22nd. - songwriter, musician, and producer will now take the stage for two intimate solo performances at Tilles Center.

In addition to the new dates, Carlile held her inaugural “Mothership Week& The Night Furthermore. Carlile will join P!NK on her “Summer Carnival 2023” stadium tour later this year.

The Closing Night feature tells an extraordinary tale of overcoming. Divertimento shares the true story of sisters Zahia and Fettouma Ziouani, a conductor and a cellist, who, despite being Algerian immigrants from the wrong part of Paris, managed to create a worldclass professional orchestra with little more than respect, determination, and sheer talent. Due to an overwhelming response from Northern California music fans, festival promoters Good Vibez Presents and JMF Presents announced a new venue for 2023’s Holo Holo Music Festival in Sacramento, California. Over the weekend of September 9th and 10th, Holo Holo will now be taking place at Sutter Health Park, outside of the stadium home of Sacramento Minor League Baseball.

Holo Holo organizers also announced a couple of lineup additions for Holo Holo Sacramento. Both Iam Tongi, Hawaiian-born winner of season 21 of American Idol, and hometown R&B-tinged songwriter Finn Gruva will be joining previously-announced performers Kolohe Kai, Common Kings, J Boog, Steel Pulse, FIJI, Rebel Souljahz, Maoli, Three Plus, Ka’ikena Scanlan, Mike Love, Koauka, Eli Mac, Chris Boomer, CRSB, and Western Conference on stage at Holo Holo Music Festival.
