Jazz At Lincoln Center At Staller

The brightest stars of Jazz at Lincoln Center arrive at the Staller Center with a vibrant journey through the first 50 years of Jazz Song on February 25th at 8 p.m. at Staller Center Recital Hall.

This touring initiative functions to provide affordable opportunities for audiences to connect with up-and-coming musicians at the onset of their bright careers. It is also an expansion of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s mission to “entertain, enrich, and expand a global community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy”.

Charting through the history of Jazz, under the musical direction of Riley Mulherkar, Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Songs We Love takes its audience on a trip through time. With a band outfitted by brilliant musicians hand-picked by Jazz at Lincoln Center, 3 guest vocalists will explore a songbook that features music by iconic artists like Ma Rainey, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Judy Garland. Original Artists At Suffolk

Long Island Stage will bring original music to the forefront with a series of three performances showcasing original artists from Long Island at The Suffolk, Riverhead with the first on March 2nd. The first performance will feature Rock artists: Kate Van Dorn, Playing Dead, and Azwel.

Long Island Stage is an organization whose mission is to offer promotional support, resources, and performance opportunities for established and emerging artists. Long Island Stage launched in 2021 with virtual stages that showcased many of the musical styles that thrive on Long Island – folk, funk, rock, alternative, electro-pop, and even a dollop of jazz. Louis Armstrong Video Clips

After surpassing one billion total views across all channels (including YouTube, Apple Music and Facebook) late last year, the archives of The Ed Sullivan Show have opened again to share rare vintage performances by Louis Armstrong. As dear friends who traveled together, were both born in the same year (1901), and had a great mutual respect, it is believed that Ed Sullivan himself lent these clips to Louis Armstrong and Universal Music Enterprises.
