STUDENT COMMONS Academic Support Spaces

The CFA Student Commons is a 250sqm renovation project for the University of the Philippines Diliman - College of Fine Arts. The project repurposes an unused property of the college into a satellite study area. A program of spaces was developed thru consultations with the various stakeholders of the college. Included in the design is a study hall along with support spaces such as a child-care, counseling, and a meeting room. Additionally a retail area was provided for educational and art supplies.

Research on the various equipment and their space requirements, as well as the several possible activities in the makerspace called for flexibility in design and layout of spaces.


Make Space Today is retail, coworking, and makerspace hybrid in Malingap St. Quezon City, envisioned by a collective of artists to foster entrepreneurship within the local creative community. In a collaborative effort with the interior designer and owner, a minimalist look with a defined light and neutral material palette was decided on to highlight the tools and products available in the space. The clear material finishes maintained honesty to the inherent characteristics of the construction materials used.

APARTMENT C Studio Unit Interiors

Apartment C is a 20sqm studio unit featuring a convertible furniture layout to maximize the limited floor area. The main space-saving feature of the apartment is the custom wall built-in. The built-in features a queen-size Murphy bed that turns into a sofa when stowed away. It also incorporates a closet, bed-side table, shelves, and storage cabinets. The butterfly table and folding chairs seat 4-6 people, perfect for hosting dinners with close friends. The addition of mirrors for the kitchen backsplash and sliding closet doors serves to amplify the sense of space within the modest unit.
