SPORTS & DISCIPLINES ARCHERY For the first time there will be an archery competition at the worldOutgames, so don’t miss this two-day tournament and do register for this sport! Men and women will compete separately in two different categories: the recurve and compound. BADMINTON Play badminton with an international ensemble from over 70 countries! The competition will start off with round robins followed by knockout rounds in six different categories. Matches will consist of at least two sets, and shuttles and lunch will be provided by the organization. BASKETBALL We are organizing a three-day basketball tournament: the first two days we have the preliminary rounds, and these are followed by one day of finals. Men and women have their own competitions, mixed teams will play in the men’s category. BOWLING Singles, doubles and trios will compete for the bronze, silver and gold medals. Or be at your best to win the high game and high series trophies. The venue Eurobowling has 20 lanes and provides access for physically challanged participants. Food and beverages can be bought in the cafeteria. BRIDGE For this sport you can choose how many days you want to participate. On Thursday and Friday we play a match-point scoring and an IMP (butler) scoring tournament. On Saturday we will have a tournament with local bridge players. Be a part of one of our brain-teaser sports! CHESS We have a two-day chess tournament under the Swiss system with 11 rounds and 30 minutes reflection time for each player. We have a competition for the recreational and competitive players (men and women) so there is a spot for everyone. BOULDERING The bouldering competition includes an initiation, with exercises and a competition. During the competition, the climbers climb different routes with an increasing difficulty level. You don’t have your own climbing shoes? No problem: you can borrow some free of charge in the climbing hall. FENCING For the very first time on the programme of worldOutgames: a unique achievement here in Antwerp! Three Olympic disciplines, sabre, foil and epee, are offered together with the professional assistance of the ‘Antwerps Schermcentrum’. FIELD HOCKEY This four-day field hockey tournament will be organized by the Royal Antwerp Hockey Club and PinkHockey. A maximum of ten teams will participate in men’s and women’s divisions. 2 x 25 minutes field-hockey pleasure with a 10-minute break in between.
