Literary Club Events Literary club was in GU was inaugurated on 13 April 2012 by Dr. D.K. Jha, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology of Galgotias University and Mrs.Vinnie Khanna Mathur, Head, Student affairs. The club organizes events like book reading, poem reading, seminars, orientation, talks, group discussion, quizzes, spell bee, essay writing, extempore jam etc. amongst others which aim to propagate literary skills in a fun and in an environment which promotes interaction between some of the sharpest brains of campus to foster a process of collective creative exchange and development.

have organized quiz competition which helps our mentors to judge them. Questions related to current topic, subjective topics, spell, word meanings, idioms and phrases are asked. The literary club of GU has been started with a motto to encourage our students to develop a taste of literature and also work towards improving their spoken and written language. The club is also involved in a variety of activities with the motive of building up confidence, grooming talent and also overall personality development of students in facing various interpersonal activities and competition. This is a list of events that we have hold recently: Audition: Prashant Pandey and Prateeek Mishra from GCET came and took the audition. Quiz : quizzing club organizes the 1st quiz

The sole purpose of club is to cater the needs of the students and also to develop their interest in literature and language. Club holds jam session and extempore contest which help the competitors to think deeper and broaden up their vocabulary.

GMUN: 1st model united nation was organized and many colleges participated. The students represented different countries and debate sessions like true united nation was organized. GYP: 1st youth parliament where many other colleges took part and students participated and represented different district seats.

The club has also initiated activities like speech, group discussion and talks to enhance oratory skills of students.

Book launch: Book on Aanna Hazare’s 13 day fast was launched by Dr. Kumar Vishwas (Poet and IAC activist) and Mr. Ashutosh Kumar (reporter from IBN 7).

As we know crown of literature is poetry, we have poetry writing and reciting competition as well.

All these events were organized with an aim of providing exposure to students in these activities and in strengthening their confidence. The club has planned many more similar activities for students for this upcoming year.

Apart from this creative writing, essay writing competition is also held where students write on a given topic on the spot which enhances their skills to thinks and pen down their thoughts correctly. The debate contest held on topics related to social evils, political events or natural problem. It gives students a chance to be abreast of current topic. In order to test and augment their vocabulary and ability to show that whether they have general knowledge or not we
