“Aún no sé en qué frontera me encuentro, supongo que a caballo entre la fotografía de arte y la documental. Licenciada en Publicidad y Relaciones Públicas en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, tras realizar un curso de cuarto oscuro descubrí mi pasión por la fotografía, con la cual me deleito en cada una de sus etapas. Disfruto creando escenas, dirigiendo a los modelos y sorprendiéndome con los gestos espontáneos, tomándome el tiempo para experimentar con la luz, las figuras del cuerpo humano y

Sin embargo también tengo la necesidad de fotografiar lo que veo, manteniendo un registro de lo que he sentido, a quienes he conocido y lo que me llama la atención. Puede ser un perro, un árbol, una mano o una habitación. Prefiero disparar con película, me gusta su misterio y magia. Por un lado es un ejercicio de reflexión, lento y pausado y por otro lado, congela y materializa un momento a través de los haluros de plata. Me parece el mejor soportemedio para palpar y recordar lo vivido y sentido.” Maria B.
I am yet unsure of the boundary I found myself allocated in, as an artist, now, but I guess it is midway between art photography and documentary. Having a degree in Publicity and Public Relations from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, after a darkroom course I discovered my crush for photography, which I enjoy in every one of its steps. I find much rejoice in setting up scenes; directing models and being surprised by the spontaneous gestures, taking my time to experiment with light, human body figures and the purity of landscapes. Nevertheless, I also have a need to capture what I see, keeping a record of what I have felt; persons I have met; and things that appeal to me. It could be a dog, a tree, a hand or a room. I most likely shoot with film; I love its mystery and magic. On one hand, it is an exercise on reflection, slow and paused; on the other, it freezes and materializes a moment by means of the silver halide. It seems to me the best mean or support to feel and remember what has been lived and felt”. Maria B.
