Seguidamente sale la efigié de San Juan a la puerta del templo para recibir y llevar hasta el pie del calvario a cuatro varones adultos y a cuatro niños, todos vestidos de blanco, para proceder a la desclavación en medio de una concurrencia que colma el templo completamente lleno. Los varones adultos empiezan a desprender el cuerpo de Cristo empezando por la cabeza; las prendas sagradas de Jesús son entregadas a cada uno de los varones adultos y luego a los niños haciendo una señal de la cruz por cada prenda. The image of Saint John is brought to the door of the church and received by four men and four boys, dressed all in white. They make their way through the crowded church to Calvary, where the body of Christ is to be taken down from the cross. The men begin to release the body from the head, passing the sacred garments of Jesus down to each man and then on to the boys, making a sign of the cross for each item. The process takes place in an atmosphere of prayer and deep devotion, accompanied by chants and the presence of incense.
