Christmas in Poland

Christmas food At our Christmas tables there are 12 dishes, it’s our tradition and here are some of them: The most popular Christmas dish in Poland is Red Borsch (with some kind of small dumplings with stuffing). Next is fish, that can’t be forgotten - carp! A few days before Christmas everyone goes to shops to buy it fresh.

At the end we wanted to write about our delicious cake cheese cake. There isn’t any cheese but it’s fluffy and we love it

Christmas decorations The most important - Christmas tree! Some of us buys living tree, but now a lot of people decided to buy fake because it’s less demanding. We always put a star at the top of it. On the streets there are a lot of Christmas lights, they look amazing and give a lovely atmosphere ♼ Every year there is a big Santa Claus on the roof of the building in the city center. Near the gallery there is a big, beautiful Christmas tree too.

Polish Christmas Carols Every year lots of people sing carols at home, on the street or at school, we love and enjoy singing them. There are some of the most popular carols and Christmas songs: ●

‘Coraz bliżej święta’ by Margaret

‘Kolęda dla nieobecnych’ by Beata Rybotycka

● ‘Wśród nocnej ciszy’ ●

● ‘Przybieżeli do Betlejem’

‘Cicha noc, święta noc’
