Nädala retsept: Perfect Miso-Herb Crusted Prime Rib

Total Time: 4 hours

Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients:

3 tbsp white miso

2 tbsp salted butter

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp chopped thyme leaves (or 1/2 tsp of dried thyme)

1.5 kg boneless prime rib roast

Preheat oven to 250F. Place wire rack onto baking sheet.

In bowl, combine miso, butter, pepper and thyme; rub all over rib roast. Place onto prepared baking sheet.

Roast until instant-read thermometer inserted into thickest part of roast reads 130F. (Tip: test at multiple points of roast to be sure) Remove roast from oven. Increase temperature to 550F.

Place roast in oven until well browned. Slice and serve with Prime rib sauce (if desired).

Prime Rib Sauce

Hands on time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour

Makes: 2 cups

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cup mayonnaise

3/4 cup 35% whipping cream

2 tbsp hot prepared horseradish

2 cloves garlic, minced or grated

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp sea salt

In bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for minimum 1 hour or overnight.
