EDITOR’S  LETTER

RPA AND IA ARE THE SAVIOR

Hello Friends.

Although the governments have opened the business houses there is still social distancing in the mind of the people as the average daily infection rate has crossed 70 thousand and death rate has crossed 900 / day. In this situation, the risk of exposing businesses to the infection is imminent and dangerous. Governments of course have no option but to keep the lights on in every sector. Mind it every day India does US$ 6.7 billion business. Its 1.3 billion population feeds on this turnover. So, any delay or lag in performance can clearly impacts the economy of the country. So, in this situation cloud and digital are the best ways to keep the industry on. However, many of the organizations have adopted cloud and digital but still there are challenges of human error. So the answer is to bring high level of automation into the system – whether you have SAP or Oracle or for that matter you can bring automation by adopting RPA for some works which are regular. RPA and Bot services are these days picking up. CIOs have started integrating automation in all respective applications. Today CIOs are looking at

COVER STORY

NEXT MONTH SPECIAL

AUTOMATION

The next issue is dedicated to AUTOMATION AND AI. We would like to take feedback from the CIOs and OEMs and create our judgment on the same.

AI enabled automation along with Automation in order to bring predictability and manageability. There are many use cases where the technology leaders replaced the human interference from the enterprise applications. The other thing is IOT and edge computing is picking up as the OTT and cloud content companies have become vibrant in the situation. Due to work from home and spread of e-learning from home, people are spending more time in OTT platforms. As per a data, the content delivery network (CDN) market was valued at USD 11.76 billion in 2019, and it is expected to reach a value of USD 49.61 billion by 2025. At the same time, the OTT platform is growing unprecedently globally. With the large penetration of mobile phones, the OTT platform is projected to reach US$2,315m in 2020. Revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2020-2024) of 18.1%, resulting in a projected market volume of US$4,510m by 2024. User penetration will be 22.3% in 2020 and is expected to hit 29.9% by 2024. These two numbers can be corrected soon as the numbers does not have consideration of Covid19. As referred earlier the pandemic is becoming a boon for these new age content providers and video on demand is becoming a choice of the people. So watch out for the new trend.

TeamViewer Remote Management Integrates Web Monitoring

NITI Aayog Selects Oracle Cloud NITI Aayog has engaged Oracle to help it modernize vital IT infrastructure underpinning the Aspirational Districts Programme. A key project of the Indian Government, its purpose is to help improve the quality of life of citizens in 112 of India’s most backward districts, constituting 28 percent of India’s population of nearly 1.4 billion. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog, said “This program is aligned with our Prime Minister’s vision of a new India. It focuses on improving people’s capacity to participate in India’s economic development. Data driven decisions will help identify the strengths and weaknesses of these districts and pave the way for their progress. By using a range of Oracle Cloud services, we are looking to fast-track their transformation by providing simplified data access, increased process automation and real-time data governance.”

EXECUTIVE

The programme uses data to identify top performing districts – these could be Dantewada in Chhattisgarh, Nandurbar in Maharashtra, Dahod in Gujarat, Kupwara in Jammu & Kashmir, Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh, or Godda in Jharkhand, among others. The weaker performing districts are encouraged to catch-up with top performers, by competing with, and learning from them in the spirit of competitive and cooperative collaboration. Information is collected across five key themes, on 49 Key Performance Indicators, identified as having the greatest impact on the quality of life and economic productivity. They include: education, health and nutrition, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development, basic infrastructure including access to road, potable water, internet connectivity, and housing under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana.

TeamViewer launches a web monitoring module as part of its existing “Remote Monitoring and Management” solution. The TeamViewer Web Monitoring module offers extended functionality for website administrators and operators of online shops, as they now have the possibility to monitor and remotely manage the server and check the website for accessibility and functionality, thus minimizing downtime and losses. “With the TeamViewer Web Monitoring module as part of the “Remote Monitoring and Management” solution, we offer an integrated service that now also enables the monitoring of your own online presence,” explains Frank Ziarno, Director Product Management, TeamViewer. “Companies of all sizes are dependent on a functioning website, as nowadays it acts like a business card. Many have also integrated a customer login or web shop. It was therefore obvious to integrate website monitoring in addition to our functions such as workstation & server monitoring, patch management and virus protection,” adds Frank Ziarno. The new TeamViewer Web Monitoring module combines a classic website accessibility test with a load time audit and a scriptbased module for carrying out automated test purchases.

Nearly 6600 Organisations Witnessed over 100,000 Email Compromise Attacks in 2020 Barracuda Networks highlights the use of malicious accounts in business email compromise. Barracuda researchers have identified that 6,170 malicious accounts that use Gmail, AOL, and other email services have been responsible for over 100,000 Business Email Compromise (BEC) attacks in 2020 on nearly 6,600 organisations. Malicious hackers register email accounts with legitimate services to use them to conduct impersonation and business email compromise attacks. They carefully craft these messages and sometimes use the email accounts for only a short span to avoid detection or being suspended by email services providers. However, some hackers may temporarily abandon an account after initial attacks and then re-use them after a long gap. Each of these email address used for BEC attacks is defined as a malicious account and provides insight into how hackers email accounts in their schemes.

DIGEST TENABLE ADVISES ORGANISATIONS TO PATCH WINDOWS OS TO PROTECT FROM “ZERO-DAY” EXPLOIT Microsoft for the sixth month in a row patched over 100 CVEs in the August 2020 Patch Tuesday release, including 17 CVEs rated critical. For the first time in three months, this update includes patches for two vulnerabilities that were observed being actively exploited in the wild. Please find below a comment from Satnam Narang, Staff Research Engineer at Tenable about this month’s patch update. Microsoft has patched over 100 CVEs again, addressing 120 CVEs, including 17 critical vulnerabilities. For the first time in three months, a pair of vulnerabilities have been reported as being exploited in the wild. CVE-2020-1380 is a remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft’s Scripting Engine due to how objects in memory are handled by Internet Explorer. In order to exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would need to convince their victim to either visit a website containing exploit code or open a malicious document that contains an embedded ActiveX control. Successful exploitation would grant the attacker the ability to execute arbitrary code as the current user. ARROW PC AND DELL TECHNOLOGIES BET BIG ON ENDPOINT SECURITY FOR ENTERPRISES GURPREET SINGH, MANAGING DIRECTOR AT ARROW PC NETWORK PVT LTD

Digital transformation and virtualization of operations in enterprises as well as other sectors have resulted in the vanishing of safety perimeters putting organizations at risk. Organizations are finding it challenging to manage the growing number of remote locations as more business-critical data moves to multiple edges and distributed IT sites. There was a time when ensuring protection to our servers, networks, desktops and laptops was paramount and yet the process was simple. But in today’s age of modernization where smart buildings, electronic gadgets like smartphones, tablets, IoT technologies or even smart watches help us power through the tech-savvy world, we leave ourselves and those associated with us vulnerable to cyber threats where threat actors wait to ambush and spring on those who provide an opportunity to be targeted. Cyber security suite and cyber recovery solutions based on Sheltered Harbor guidelines enable organizations to prepare for an extreme operational outage or data destruction event that

renders traditional disaster recovery and business continuity plans ineffective. This will provide them with the ability to revert to uncompromised data and operationalize this data in a manner that promotes sector stability. “Modern work demands a modern approach to protecting the end user workspace from threats. CISOs need to take a defined approach that will deploy a robust security solution to secure the endpoints from cyber threats at all times for business continuity. Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise is a cybersecurity suite with automated threat prevention, detection, and response capabilities. This will give a brief description on the functions and features of Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise. It provides authentication, file-based data encryption and advanced threat protection, which the company said will allow businesses to cover both sides of the security coin – data protection and threat prevention,” said Gurpreet Singh, Managing Director at Arrow PC Network Pvt Ltd (Titanium Partner – Dell Technologies). Covid-19 pandemic forced organizations and CISOs to re-strategize and put in more focus on endpoint security. As per a survey 89 percent, CISOs said they are focused on cyber security and 82 percent, are working on remote enablement. The cyber threats can be effectively mitigated by

following two-pronged strategy, that is, preventive strategy with the cyber security suite and postincident strategy with the cyber recovery solution. Dell’s Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise helps to focus on the priorities with its built-in security, comprehensive threat management and data security features that help protect your competitive advantage: SafeGuard and Response – The Dell SafeGuard and Response portfolio provides a comprehensive approach to endpoint threat management. Artificial intelligence and machine learning proactively detect and block endpoint attacks. Security experts help hunt for and remediate identified threats across the endpoint, network and cloud – giving you peace of mind while ensuring unidentified threats don’t slow down your business. SafeData – Enables end users to smartly and safely collaborate wherever and however they need by protecting sensitive data on devices and securing information in the cloud. SafeBIOS Events & Indicators of Attack (IoA) – It guards the organization against stealthy and silent attacks utilizing Dell’s off-host BIOS verification. These controls mitigate the risk of BIOS tampering as well as bring them to attention, allowing teams to quickly find and quarantine any infected PCs. It helps to detect advanced endpoint threats using behavior-based threat detection, at the BIOS level. CLOVER INFOTECH: ‘ENABLING BUSINESSES TO MIGRATE TO THE CLOUD SEAMLESSLY Business is done from home now and SME Channels spoke to Preethi Menon about how Cloud is enabling companies to create a safe Work From Home (WFH) environment. receivables, etc. have been managed efficiently. The head of our financial operations has conveyed to us that implementing Oracle Financials Cloud for ourselves has helped to ensure business continuity during COVID-19. Many organizations which have been using legacy on-premise applications to manage their financials have been severely impacted. Based on our experience, we believe it is advisable to move to Oracle Financials Cloud and enjoy not only uninterrupted business but also strategic insights in real-time to manage the organization’s financial health better. How Cloud is enabling companies to create a safe Work From Home (WFH) environment? Cloud is becoming the biggest enabler as companies are working remotely. Cloud-based

collaboration and communication tools are essential requirements for building a robust digital infrastructure where employees can constantly connect, collaborate and work together remotely. In a world witnessing social distancing and lockdown, cloud-based technologies have enabled organizations to operate remotely while ensuring that their systems and data is secure and is accessed by only authorized users. Benefits of Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud? Oracle Fusion Financials Cloud is the most comprehensive, integrated and scalable financial management solution. It allows organizations to gain real-time access to live financial data. It enables organizations to comply with global accounting standards and multiple legislative,

industry or geographic requirements. Further, through live and interactive dashboards, it supports and enhances business decision making process and accuracy. It enables organizations to control costs and increase visibility into spending, manage cash position better, and most importantly, reduce processing costs and data entry errors. Highlights on AI, Chatbots, Business Intelligence & Analytics and Database management? With the “WFH” mandate, there is a newfound appreciation for most of the above. Artificial Intelligence enabled systems and Chatbots are efficiently assisting employees in critical tasks as well as to manage rule-based and redundant ones. With respect to Business Intelligence and Analysis and management of the underlying databases, organizations will leverage the efficiencies in network, storage and compute to ride the data deluge, analyze data across dimensions, and run Analytics at scale to derive cutting-edge insights and take well-informed business decisions. The natural result of efficient use of these technologies is a visible enhancement in the top line of the companies, operational efficiency, and channelization of human capital’s time and effort into core business functions. What according to you the partners need to do during this Pandemic? Our partners in this context is Oracle. We are in constant touch with our partner to address any concerns from our customers and provide them round-the-clock assistance and quick resolutions as and when required. However, we have seen that our customers that have adopted Oracle Financials Cloud have been managing their business seamlessly. A severe customer escalation or issue has not occurred during the pandemic. What according to you, your customers should do to maximize their productivity? Every business is unique, and this question can be answered specific to a business. However, we believe technology is the backbone for most of the enterprises in the digital era. Hence, customers should focus on digital transformation. A technology modernization exercise can help. Applications that are functionally relevant and technically capable can be considered for migration to the Cloud. All critical functions need round-the-clock availability hence Cloud enablement is vital.

IS WHATSAPP FOR BUSINESS A STEP TOWARDS BETTER CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

BY SANJAY@ACCENTINFOMEDIA.COM

Since its launch in 2009, WhatsApp has emerged as the go-to messaging app for 2 billion consumers across 160+ countries. Fast, easy-to-use, reliable and secure – WhatsApp has become the choice of messaging globally. As a business, you would also have heard of how WhatsApp for Business has become the talk of the town. It is one of the most trending and highly effective communication platforms, being rapidly adopted by businesses. This article looks at what makes WhatsApp for Business such a hit, and why you should be using it (if not already). App vs API Since its acquisition by Facebook in 2014, WhatsApp has released two new products – WhatsApp Business App (Jan 2018) and WhatsApp Business API (Aug 2018). Often used interchangeably (note the letter difference, App vs API), WhatsApp Business App and WhatsApp Business API differ in the capabilities they offer. WhatsApp Business App is built keeping a small business owner in mind. The app provides businesses a presence on the WhatsApp platform, thus allowing them to communicate with customers more efficiently. Already used by over 50 million users worldwide, WhatsApp Business

22 ENTERPRISE IT WORLD    AUGUST 2020

App is here to stay. Free to use, the app can only be used on one device by one user and is limited in automation. WhatsApp Business API, on the other hand is targeted at medium and large businesses. The WhatsApp Business API is designed for companies that receive a large volume of messages, which the Business App cannot handle. Also, the WhatsApp Business API provides advantages for enterprise businesses – including automation and integrations with an enterprise software stack (like CRM, AI and Analytics). Due to the expansive capabilities that come with the API, it is a paid-for product. To ensure a high-quality experience for businesses and users alike, integration of this API with your business requires you to partner with one of Facebook’s global business solution providers. Why is WhatsApp for Business such a hit? WhatsApp for Business has been a hit with both businesses and its customers. Below points cover the main aspects why businesses vouch for the platform’s tremendous success. s WhatsApp is where your customers are!! SMS and emails are dead (or close to be)!! With close 2 billion users using WhatsApp globally and 60 billion + messages exchanged daily, WhatsApp

remains the undisputable leader in the messaging apps market, and also customers’ preferred channel of communication. Communicating with customers on their preferred channel of communication reduces a huge learning curve for the customer, thus enabling clear communication with the business. Businesses are benefitted by the customer’s familiarity using features on the platform like URLs, media, emojis, documents and locations. So prevalent is the WhatsApp platform, that during the ongoing Covid pandemic, WHO has launched the World Health Organisation’s Health Alert on WhatsApp. s Be with your customers at all times Why wait for an IVR, customer care personnel or an email response, when a customer can get information, they need quickly through the WhatsApp platform? The platform can be programmed to serve customers in certain use-cases in real-time – thus acting as a great enabler in reaching to customers quickly and effectively. Real-time (and timely) alerts and notifications are sent instantaneously, while most common FAQs can be fed into the WhatsApp platform, and can be relayed to the customer in real-time.

APP VS API  //  GUEST COLUMN

s Customers get more done through a twosided conversation Recent studies show customers are more comfortable with conversations. Customers ask questions on the platform as they would be inquiring over phone or at a physical store. Through careful integration, WhatsApp allows businesses provide a two-sided conversation with its customers – thus increasing customer engagement.

s Connect with customers through your brand When customers interact with your business on WhatsApp, they are welcomed through your business profile – a unique, branded business identity they relate to and trust. This level of customization also gives you the opportunity to inject your brand personality into each interaction with the customer – your brand can get creative in your conversations with customers using your brand’s photos, videos, and tone of voice. s Be Global and yet be Local with WhatsApp API Businesses wishing to use the WhatsApp Business API in global geographies need to provide a local number (landline, mobile or even toll-free) and are allowed to utilize the language of choice to communicate with customers in these locales. For global businesses or those looking to go global, WhatsApp is the definite go-to messaging platform. s Saves money for the business – Up to 80% of inquiries to the customer-care can presently be automated, allowing your teams to manage more tickets with fewer resources and conversations can be easily handed over to a human representative whenever necessary. s This frees up your customer service representatives to focus on high-value or complex tickets which need human support. s Engagement through secure means – Most important – a verified business profile from WhatsApp provides businesses and customers a secure and trusted channel to work with. Both the business and customers are assured of a safe and secure channel to communicate. WhatsApp gives strict attention to protecting customer privacy with constant updates to its end-to-end encryption, thus taking away a major headache for businesses. DPRK-ALIGNED THREAT ACTOR TARGETING CRYPTOCU RRENCY VERTICAL WITH GLOBAL HACKING CAMPAIGN Today, cyber security provider F-Secure published a report linking an attack against an organization working in the cryptocurrency vertical to Lazarus Group – a highly-skilled, financially-motivated threat actor whose interests reportedly align with the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). By connecting evidence obtained from the attack with existing research, the report concludes the incident was part of a Lazarus Group campaign targeting organizations in the cryptocurrency vertical in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, Japan, and other countries.

The tactical intelligence report provides an analysis of samples, logs, and other technical artifacts recovered by F-Secure during an incident response investigation at an organization working in the cryptocurrency vertical. According to the report, the malicious implants used in the attack were nearly identical to tools reportedly used previously by Lazarus Group – also known as APT38. The report identifies the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) used during the attack, such as spearphishing via a service (in this case, using LinkedIn to send a fake job offer tailored to the recipient’s profile). According to F-Secure Director of Detection and Response Matt Lawrence, the research provides a solid foundation for the report’s actionable security advice. “Our research, which included insights from our incident response, managed detection and response, and tactical defense units, found that this attack bears a number of similarities with known Lazarus Group activity, so we’re confident they were behind the incident,” said Lawrence. “The evidence also suggests this is part of an ongoing campaign targeting organizations in over a dozen countries, which makes the attribution important. Companies can use the report to familiarize themselves with this incident, the TTPs, and Lazarus Group in general, to help protect themselves from future attacks.” Based on phishing artifacts recovered from Lazarus Group’s attack, F-Secure’s researchers were able to link the incident to a wider, ongoing campaign that’s been running since at least January 2018. According to the report, similar artifacts have been used in campaigns in at least 14 countries: the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Russia, South Korea, Argentina, Singapore, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Estonia, Japan, and the Philippines. Lazarus Group invested significant effort to evade the target organization’s defenses during the attack, such as by disabling anti-virus software on the compromised hosts, and removing evidence of their malicious implants. And while the report describes the attack as sophisticated, it points out Lazarus Group’s efforts to hide their presence were not enough to prevent F-Secure’s investigation from recovering evidence of their activities. The report, Lazarus Group Campaign Targeting the Cryptocurrency Vertical, contains more information for defenders, including indicators of compromise, a list of TTPs used in the attack, and additional advice for detecting Lazarus Group activity. It is now available on F-Secure Labs.

“Developers can now slipstream Kubernetes applications from test/dev into production,”

said Lee Caswell, vice president, marketing, Cloud Platform Business Unit, VMware. “We’ve built a consistent CI/CD operational model that—with our free Player version—is available for all developers.”

VMWARE BRINGS KUBERNETES TO FUSION 12 AND WORKSTATION 16 RELEASES Vmware unveiled the newest versions of its VMware Fusion and VMware Workstation desktop hypervisor solutions. VMware’s updates support the changing needs of modern developers by extending the tools traditionally used to simplify workflows and expand capabilities of virtual machines (VMs) to container-based applications orchestrated with Kubernetes. The latest release of Fusion also introduces a new edition—Fusion Player— available with a free Personal Use license as well as offering a paid license for commercial use.

26 ENTERPRISE IT WORLD    AUGUST 2020

Expanding Support for Developers VMware has long served developers as well as end users and IT professionals with some of the best-in- class features with its award-winning desktop hypervisor products—VMware Fusion and Workstation. Today’s updates expand support for modern application developers with enhancements to VMware’s container engine CLI—vctl— while also making it available on Workstation for Windows. With Fusion or Workstation, developers will be able to support more custom Kubernetes clusters with support for ‘kind’ — a tool for running local Kubernetes clusters using containers as “nodes.” Containers built with vctl can be tested on local Kubernetes clusters to validate pipeline workflows before pushing them upstream to a central registry such as Harbor. In turn, the containers can be implemented on larger VMware Cloud Foundation 4 with Tanzu production clusters in a service delivery pipeline. Additionally, administrators will be able to connect with VMware vSphere 7 through ESXi and vCenter for remote VM operation and maintenance tasks. Supporting the latest physical and virtual hardware features, Fusion and Workstation provide out-of-the-box workload mobility / compatibility between desktops and data centers. In preparation for the next major version of macOS 11.0 Big Sur, VMware has made full use of Apple’s hypervisor and other APIs, removing the need for kernel extensions and supporting macOS 11 as both host and guest. Additional New VMware Fusion and Workstation Features s DirectX 11 and OpenGL 4.1 – Running games and apps support with Direct3D version 11 or OpenGL 4.1 s Windows 10 Hyper-V Mode – VMware Workstation products support running VMs, containers and Kubernetes clusters on PCs with Windows 10 version 2004 that have Hyper-V mode enabled. s Dark Mode – For Workstation Pro and Player UIs, a new Dark Mode feature will seamlessly align with the latest versions of Windows 10, including the recently released 2004 build. s eGPU Compatibility – Fusion Player and Pro will support eGPU devices, helping offload the resource-taxing graphics rendering process from the internal integrated or discrete GPU, to a much more powerful external one. Improved Accessibility – Accessibility controls in compliance with VPAT Section 508, helping users get the full benefits of virtual machines.

DIRECTOR GLOBAL SALES DEVELOPMENT, ALARIS DIVISION OF KODAK ALARIS

Kodak Alaris has gone into a global alliance with UiPath to enable both companies’ channel partners and customers to leverage Kodak Alaris’ information capture solutions and UiPath software to accelerate digital transformation by automating and streamlining business processes. The companies also introduced their integration via the Alaris Capture Pro to UiPathOrchestrator Connector, which provides a seamless connection between fully indexed, high quality images from Kodak scanners and UiPath bots. RPA is the key to working smarter and for many organizations – in particular, those most reliant on paper- based processes – has the potential to be truly transformative when used to modernize information and data capture. RPA starts with usable data, which in turn starts with high quality images. “We are delighted to announce this global alliance with UiPath, whose software is among the leading tools for building RPA robots,” said Vanilda Grando, Director Global Sales Development, Alaris division of Kodak Alaris. “Intelligent information capture combined with RPA is especially powerful for finance, IT and IT services, operations and information governance. The combination of Kodak Alaris scanners, software and services, with UiPath’s RPA platform will enable partners to take their customers’ information capture to the next level, making total automation and paper-free processes a business reality.” The UiPath RPA platform automates sequences of repeatable processes, minimizes disruption, uncovers efficiencies and provides insights, making the path to digital transformation fast and cost-effective. Once information is captured via the scanner, software robots complete repetitive, rules-based tasks such as moving files and folders, extracting structured data from documents and executing processes with it. “Our two technologies complement one another,” said George Roth, Senior Manager, Technology Alliances at UiPath. “It’s not about taking people out of the loop, it’s about being able to reallocate them and bring them back in if needed. For example, you could set a threshold for OCR read rates at 90%. If the RPA solution

EDITOR’S TAKE

COVID-19 AND RISE OF CLOUD COMPUTING

Suddenly two words have become real buzz words in the industry – cloud computing and digital transformation. Earlier though the industry discussion was around these two words, but due to the sudden appearance and prolonged impact of the pandemic, talks around these technologies have got wings. Organizations have created mandates based on the government compliances that the social distancing has to be maintained and WFH or remote work must be practiced. Today, there is hardly any industry left, which is unaware of cloud computing. Every organization wants scalability, agility, security and OPEX based infra so that their economy does not hut due to the slump in the market. Even those vertical industries including the physical gaming industry – specially the casino industry have gone online and adoption is growing like wildfire. Although the betting and gambling industry had adopted computing as early as 90s, but the database use was not there to that extent. However, with the sporadic spike in the demand, the 30 ENTERPRISE IT WORLD    AUGUST 2020

industry had to adopt the modernization including cloud computing and analytics for ease of operation and predictability. This used to happen on-prem from a physical server but due to social distancing and moratorium on any sort of gathering of people, this industry had to go online and got aggressive on the transformation. As per the last Grand View research report, the global online gambling market size is expected to reach US$102.97 billion by 2025, a CAGR growth of 11.5% from 2019 to 2025. This research had happened much before the pandemic. Things have changed globally now. It is a new normal. People do not meet physically. Therefore, the industries must devise a new strategy for their business continuity. Cloud computing is more vibrant now in this industry too and the market prediction can be 10 times more than the earlier. ResearchAndMarkets.com, in a press statement, said that the technologies such as Blockchain, IoT and VR are changing everything in every field including even how one can gamble in an online casino. Virtual Reality and VR Headsets

have gained a lot of popularity in recent years and are revolutionary addition to the world of online gambling. A player with VR can enter a virtual casino and play all the games without the pain of travelling. But this brings the increased apprehension of being created. Of late, there have been news that many of such organizations are not maintaining transparency and people are becoming subject to the frauds. The consulting house has also an answer to this that blockchain technology can bring transparency and enhance trust among the users, which in a way can enhance reputation of the gambling sites. All these technologies can be brought to full use if they are hosted from cloud. As already mentioned, this industry goes through sporadic spikes, which means there is a need of elasticity in the infrastructure, which is only possible in the case of cloud. Secondly, there is always a BC support and DR in cloud as it does not allow any sort of outage – neither in power nor in the bandwidth. So, cloud is a real panacea.
