Research Strategy The research activities organised at ENAC match the original positionning of the school : the operation and safety of the air transport system. Laboratories, researchers/lectures and doctorate students lead and participate in these research activities financed by French and foreign, public and private organisations.
Fields of research ENAC develops its own research activities in the scientific disciplines it teaches, where it is able to innovate and build up knowledge and skills : - applied mathematics - interactive IT - aviation economics - automated systems - civilian unmanned aerial vehicles - CNS...
A dynamic scientific policy Des partenariats privilégiés L’établissement de partenariats avec des organismes institutionnels (ONERA, CNES, etc.), des industriels (AIRBUS, THALES, etc.), des PME (IntuiLab, Oktal, etc.) permet à l’ENAC de valoriser durablement ses compétences dans le domaine de la recherche. Enfin le dernier élément majeur du développement des activités de recherche ENAC passe par une politique de site au travers de son son implication dans le PRES « Université de Toulouse », des collaborations directement nouées avec d’autres Grandes Ecoles et universités toulousaines.
ENAC has now clearly positioned its research activities to give priority to the objectives of the SESAR programme and the strategic activities of the Aerospace Valley competitiveness cluster. Within this context, it is exploring several new avenues of research, such as interoperability, cockpit simulation and human factors.
Special partnerships Through its partnerships with institutional organisations (e.g. ONERA, CNES), industry (AIRBUS, THALES) and SMEs (such as IntuiLab and Oktal), ENAC assures the long-term future of its research and industrial transfer activities. The last key factor in the development of ENAC’s research activities is the commitment to building up relations with local partners, as reflected in the school’s involvement in the Université de Toulouse PRES cluster and direct collaborative work with other grandes Écoles and universities in Toulouse.
