Hyatt Thrive Park Hyatt’s hospitality reaches the community. Park Hyatt is a proud member of Hyatt Thrive, a global platform aimed at making a positive impact in local communities through the engagement of Hyatt’s esteemed colleagues. Just like its international partners, Jeddah’s Hyatt Thrive consists of four pillars:
• Environmental Sustainability • Education and Career Readiness • Economic Development and Investment • Health and Wellness
Based on the above pillars, Park Hyatt has been involved in a variety of community activities for the last couple of years such as: • Reduction of environmental impact through the cleaning of public areas around the hotel. • Celebration of Earth Hour. • Clothes and food donations to under-privileged individuals around town.
Being involved in such movements has motivated Park Hyatt and its staff to do more. This year, with April being the month of Hyatt Thrive, Park Hyatt plans on continuing its efforts to help in the making of a socially responsible community by participating in the above campaigns again and adding other initiatives. These include: internal recycling policies that reduce waste sent to landfills and the conservation of natural resources such as timber, water and minerals. In addition to that, Park Hyatt plans to integrate visits to houses of elderly people to spend some time with them, and learn from their experiences, all the while catering to their needs and happiness. The hotel also aims to take it a step further with donations this year by providing blankets, duvets and food to those in need, depending on their individual requirements.
