Scotland is known for its rich culture and history. While Edinburgh is its capital city, Glasgow is its largest city. Edinburgh is known to be the world leading festival city. During the month of August, Edinburgh holds six of the major festivals throughout the year and marks this month as one of the busiest for the capital.
1,200 performers, the bands and groups came from different regions of the world. The performers came from the UK, India, Nepal, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Finland, China and Switzerland. The diversity in performances shown at the Tattoo make this festival one of the most enjoyable and truly unforgettable experiences.
Performances have been a sellout for the past 16 consecutive years with this year’s crowd being 8,800 visitors per evening. The Tattoo lasts around 90 minutes. Since 1952, performers have travelled to Edinburgh from 48 countries to take part in this parade. Web: edintattoo.co.uk

THE ROYAL EDINBURGH MILITARY TATTOO In its 66th year, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo was held Aug. 5 – 27 in an open area located right in front of the Edinburgh Castle. The theme this year was ‘East Meets West’. With around 78 DESTINATION RIYADH OCTOBER 2015
