6. Jergens Unveils Oud Lotion in 4Spa
Themar usually brings together the best of what the GCC has to offer in terms of seasonal wear. This year was no exception. The general theme was inspired by Turkey, as was evident in the abundance of masabeeh (lanterns) hanging from the ceilings and the guest tent on display in the middle. A large number of top-notch designers from different parts of the Middle East were represented this year. From Saudi Arabia, there were Alshaikha, AlJwhara Fashion, Bazah, Dalila, Waela, Rawiah Bagabas, Shall Boutique, Sara Couture, Famed, Fatima Alsubaie, H&A Designer, Hala Alshoal, Juju, Le Voile, Madi, Marwa RMR, Mayyal, Pashmina, Memash, Miskeyana, MLML, and Nashel Designs. Anfal Designs, Qumar 14, Dar May, Nashel, Qamar, and Unica represented Kuwait, while Stola Fashion, Raw by Ayten, and HF Boutique were a great display of Emirati talent. 7. There was also Nazeeka, from Egypt, and Ömür Karamollaoglu from Turkey. With a wide range of kaftans, turbans, jewelry, home décor, gift items, handicrafts, artworks and food available, Themar was, as usual, quite the shopping experience. The exhibition will run from May 21 till the end of July.

Jergens showcased their new Restage and Oud range in a launch event at the renowned 4Spa. Bloggers and fashion icons were pampered with free manicures, catering from Mini Treats and Outdoor Gathering floral arrangements.
7. Bake n’ Blush Held for the First Time

The Bake n’ Blush by Pink Tarha was held at Star Compound May 30. The event was a combination of a bazaar and workshops. Nadiya of BakeFresh, gave an intro session to cake decorating while makeup artist, Angel of G.A.P. ran a fun Makeup 101 for the guests.
8. Raymond Chouty at the Naila Art Gallery
All the way from Uruguay, the painter Marcelo de Leon opened his exhibition at the Naila Art Gallery June 6. The Ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay showed a selection of the artist’s beautiful pieces.
