WADI AL MITNA LOST IN TIME Most people move towards cold and natural areas of Taif like, Al Shifa and Al Hada, but little is known about Wadi Al Mitna.

there is a small mosque with low ceilings. It is completely singular when compared to modern mosques, as it has no air conditioning or proper flooring. History narrates that during his tenth year of being a Prophet, Muhammad (PBUH), journeyed to Taif to gain support of the tribes of Hawazeen and Thafiq. However, the three chieftains of these tribes treated him harshly, setting off vandals on him who pelted him with stones till he bled. After leaving the city, he took refuge in an orchid where the owners allowed him to rest. It was here that the angel Jibreel (ASWS)

Wadi Al Mitna is a less explored historical area of Taif, and those who are aware of its name know not of its story. Located in the south of Taif, it can be accessed through Taif’s main Wadi Waj Street. There are two old mosques along Wadi Al Mitna, under the supervision of Saudi Tourism and Antiques. Many people are seen around there, hiking the mountain and wondering about the place and its historical significance. descended and asked the Prophet if he wished he could command the two hills to collide and destroy the entire town. Despite being treated callously, the Prophet (PBUH) refused, saying that if they do not accept Islam someone in their descendants would. The hut where the Prophet (PBUH) rested has been turned into a small mosque now and people who have heard about Wadi Al Mitna are often seen visiting it.
