Jumeirah Group to Operate Venu Property

Jumeriah Group, the Dubai-based luxury hotel company announced that it will be operating Dubai’s first Venu Bluewaters Island Hotel. The Bluewaters Hotel is part of the Venu Living Brand. A management agreement was made with Meraas Holding to ensure the property is perfected.

The hotel will be located off the coast of Dubai and will encompass the Dubai-I, the world’s largest ferris wheel. The property is expected to open in 2017 and will contain 300 hotel rooms and 119 apartments.

Etihad Airways Wins Airline of the Year for Cabin Technology Innovation

Etihad Airways has won the 2015 Airline of the Year award at the Inflight Magazine Award ceremony. The celebration took place at the Aircraft Interiors Middle East expo in Dubai. Etihad Airways

won the award based on the high levels of service, cabin technology and innovation that allow its guests ultimate comfort during their flights.

Air Arabia Starts Flights to China

Air Arabia, the UAEbased low cost carrier, plans to start its first flights to China. By doing so, the company will become the first budget airline from the Middle East and Africa to offer flights heading to China.
