GETTING READY FOR YOUR BIG DAY!

So you are getting married and you want to look amazing on your big day, but you have no idea where to start, what to eat and where to find the time. I have one word for you …KISS! By Rob Seagreen Fitness Director at Arena MMA and Fitness Center

Firstly, sort out your food. Balance your intake and supplement it with a decent workout. Avoid processed foods, refined carbohydrates and SUGAR! The Zone Diet is a simple way of eating that gives you the flexibility you need to stick to it. It is separated into equal blocks of protein, carbohydrates and fats.

A block is a unit of measure used to simplify the process of making balanced meals. 7 grams of protein = 1 block of protein 9 grams of carbs = 1 block of carbs 1.5 grams of fat = 1 block of fat

This assumes that there is about 1.5 grams of fat in each block of protein, so the total amount of fat needed per block meal is 3 grams of fat.

When a meal is composed of equal blocks of protein, carbs and fat it is 40 percent of its calories are from carbs, 30 percent from protein and fat.
