roy Camerer was the fastest rider at the Cahokia Creek Dirt Riders hillclimb on August 11th. His fast time came on his second ride in the 600cc Four Stroke class. His 3.235 second time on his Suzuki was about four hundredths of a second faster than Josh Denson, who topped the hill on his Honda in 3.277 seconds. Chuck Mathewson claimed third. The Peters boys, Matt and Levi, along with Joe McGurer were double class winners. McGurer was the winner in the 600cc class, and his 3.28 second first round time was only three thousandths of a second off the overall fast time by Camerer. Denson also finished second in the 600 class, with a 3.241 second time. Andy Fortner was third in 3.258 seconds. McGurer’s second win came in the Open Stock class with a 3.442 second time on his first ride on his KX450F. Daniel Cruthis and Mike Warner claimed the next two spots. Matt Peter’s first win came in the 450cc class on his KTM380. His 3.263 second time in the first round would have held up for the win, but he beat
his own time in the second round with a high flying 3.252 second run. Cody Jenner was close with a 3.270 second ride with Chuck Mathewson third. Peters second win came in the Senior class where he had to work a little to get it. He took the first round lead on his Honda, but Andy Fortner slipped under that with a 3.267 second time on his second ride. Peters was up to the challenge, however, and responded with a 3.249 second class winning time. Jon Creek was third. Matt’s son, Levi Peters, enjoyed a perfect night in youth class racing, winning both classes he entered, and taking the Youth Fast Time award. His first win came in the 65cc class where he came from behind in the second round with a 3.988 second ride on his Kawasaki, overtaking Gage Kendra Herold was the Women's class winner. Stear. Stear was the first but Levi carded an even better round leader, and posted a 4.041 3.743 seconds on his second ride, second time on his KX65 in the and that time was good for the second round. Derick Bell was Youth Fast Time award. Andrew third in 4.122 seconds. Fortner claimed second in 3.981 Riding his KX85, Levi took seconds with Jonathan Brian the first round lead in the 85Jr third. class with 3.960 seconds. That In other youth class action, time would have won the class, ‘Jumpin’ Jaydn Aliprandini was the 50cc class winner with Brodie Bennett second, while Jacob Bell was the best of the 85Sr class with Clayton Hirsch second. In the Women’s class, Kendra Herold was the winner in 4.543 seconds with Lauren Shafer second and Lilah McGurer third.
