same course as 65 beginner with some motocross types trying out HS races. Looks like there are a few young guns out there taking a liking to a little different type for racing. Eli Berryman, Ian Murphy and Will Swango battled the one mile course. Eli put some time on the other two but Murph and Will know how to battle as they have on the mx tracks in northern IL. These top three banged out eight full laps, and did a great job. Notable mentions Cole Morgan, Darrin Herman, Grayson Plowman. Grayson had a slow start but got into the swing of things and managed a great ride. Looks like FVOR will be extending the race times for the last race this fall. 65 Beginner riders and 50cc riders will get longer race times. Stay tuned for that little tid bit of information coming soon. 65cc class this day seen Tanner Whipple (129), Mason French (192) and Garrett Ward (153) dice for much of the early part of thier

race. Watching these three was pretty amazing. Picking different lines, passing each other, in fact five - six times in the first lap, they took turns in the lead spot. Mason went down first and played catchup then it was another flat tire for Ward. Tanner got away clean and dominated like he has much of the season! As the Quads lined up for the start of their race, there was no complaints about the weather as this was the first race at Fox Valley this year that the weather was perfect. The spirits were high, and everyone was looking forward to the start of the race. At the drop of the flag Tim Volski jumped off the line for the holeshot followed by Scott Burkitt and Bryan Wittersheim. Volski didn’t hold the lead very long as he was passed by Burkitt and Kevin Johnson. The rest of the race was led by Burkitt followed by Johnson as he was never able to close the gap. The best battle of the day was between the Wittersheim and Volski. At the end of the day it was the Burkitt with the overall followed by Johnson and Wittersheim. It was a very nice day to race today. The big course was a little over four miles long, and many riders commented it was one of the best they have ridden at the park. Next up is the September 16th free t-shirt event, and the final event on Oct 21st, where it’s GP time!
