tremely fast early. Matt Dissell and Jeremy Smith put more excitement into the mix with their big four strokes, hammering through the woods. Travis Ward came through the barrels top ten, but off the pace somewhat. As the race wore on, Dissell did what he always does. He rode smooth and kept a good pace, but didn't show his hand til the start of the last fifteen minutes. Bollinger had pulled a pretty good lead but knows how Dissell rides and had to be thinking when is the push coming. The race was on, he could hear that big four stroke coming through the trees as he and Dissell fought for the lead. Quietly Ward was still running strong this race and started picking off AA riders towards the end of the race. As they came into the barrels ready hit it hard for that last lap and go for the gold, they were greeted with a checkered flag! Boy that was some upset boys right there, evidently the score girls and flag people didn't convey the start time correctly and the race was short six minutes! Now you would think that isn't a long time, but with 8-9 minute laps, these guys would have passed and raced each other hard for that last lap. In the end Bollinger won by eight seconds over Dissell. Ward took third overall and top A class

rider for the day, just edging out Jeremy Smith in the last section before the barrels. AA rider Austin Wells, "I got a terrible start. I wasn't really ready for the way Wardy used the flag. It also didn't help that my bike didn't fire on the first kick. I was stuck behind an A rider for the whole first section, letting the leaders get away. I finally got by him and blew a corner, letting Jeremy Smith by me. I followed him for a while but he irked away. A lap or so later, I reeled in Chris Huffman and made a quick pass, putting me in fifth. I charged as hard as I could without making any major mistakes. I eventually caught Ryan Moss, but as we caught lappers, he got away. I reeled him back in and finally got by with a lap and a half to go. I rode hard enough to stay ahead of him for the rest of the race, finishing fourth. Now that I think about it, I feel like it was a good ride, coming from where I did." The Quads lined up and after the flag dropped, Kevin Johnson jumped out and stole the holeshot. Right behind him was Tim Volski and Bryan Wittersheim. As they attacked the first downhill on the track, they started to see an extra challenge. The rock hard trails had been turned to a fine powder, and in some places six inches deep.

AA rider Chris Huffman with A class winner Travis Ward behind.

Wittersheim fell victim to a hidden rock in the dust and was treated to a trip over the bars ending his day. Johnson was still leading when his quad stopped, taking him out. This opened up the race for Brad Holder and Doug Yunker. The powder and dust made it hard on a few more of the riders as the hills were very slick and gave them a lot to deal with. Tim Volski made it to the top of the hills only to get stuck in the powder. This forced Volski to turn and go back down

for another try and caused him to lose valuable time on more than one lap. In the end Yunker, Holder, and Chase Pavelonis were the top three riders. Jim Swinson, Randy Harper, Ken Loews, and Frank Broll also in the race were having a blast, this group never ceases to show us how much fun racing can be, and still be not too competitive to get along all the rest of the time. Fun times for sure! Don't forget the last point paying event for the season is
