here has been some great racing out at Joliet MX. Tonight, the 25th of August the bonus points race for the Arsenal Series was under way, and the turnout was great! There was some great weather with the incredible summer heat wave subsiding finally. Tonight there was some extra action during intermission, with a special pit bike race, and Jon Williams doing some freestyle to wow the crowd. Everyone was eager to come out and get those extra points, with a lot of the classes having some close battles. 250C had a great race with position changes happening almost every lap. Trevor Hayes took the holeshot with Derek Brueggert in second and Brandon Larson third. Coming into the whoops section Brueggert got inside Hayes and took over the lead. Hayes in a rush to catch back up allowed Larson to take over second. With the white flag waving Hayes put on the charge and went outside to pass Larson in the sweeper, then coming over the table top he passes Brueggert to take over the lead. Open C was another great race tonight with Hayes grabbing the holeshot, Nick Smith in sec-

ond and Larson in third. Michael Bank went inside Larson to take over third. Coming up to the table top Bank passed Smith in the air, moving up to second and heading for Hayes. Smith and Larson both had some trouble moving them back and Cody Meyer took over third place. Over the finish line Hayes held on for the win with Bank in second and Meyer third. 250B left the line with seven riders. Harvey Bushby got out front with the holeshot while Lucas Hayes slid into second and Mark Marincic third. Coming into the second turn Marincic fell, trapping August Miksys in his tire, letting Jordan Mackiewicz move into third. Coming

around the sweeper Mackiewicz got around Hayes with Brian Krohn coming right behind him. Bushby rode hard to create a pretty big gap coming across the line for first, with Mackiewicz second. 85 Open came out in full force with eleven riders packing the gate for an exciting race. Christopher Gallagher took the holeshot leading Shane Reilly and Nick Cutrone. Blasting into the second turn Reilly went hard outside to take over the lead while Ben Ibianskas charged through the whoops passing Cutrone and Gallagher, taking over second place. Ibianskas was charging hard trying to take over the lead and stalled coming

out of a turn, letting Cutrone and Gallagher past. Reilly was making a pretty good gap out front while Ibianskas was flying through traffic, trying to get back up front. When the checker flag came out he had made it all the way back to third place; Reilly took first, and Cutrone held onto second. 85Sr was another great race tonight with Nick Cutrone coming out front to take the holeshot, before going down hard in the whoops. Everyone scattering to avoid the wreck, Kevin Madden came out in the lead with Chase Boykin and Dylan Roesch chasing. The order stayed the same out front with Madden taking the win. In the 65s tonight there was some great racing as always. Up first with 65Sr Scotty Scamen came off the line pulling Nolan Dickinson and Pierce Rogers with him. Coming over the table top, Conner Burger was able to get around Rogers to take over third. Scamen was able to hold off Dickinson to take first, and Burger finished third. In 65Jr Joe Quest grabbed the lead with Hunter Billingsley in second and Connor Mackinnis third. James McDannel came around the outside taking over second passing Billingsley and Mackinnis right away. Mackinnis got the inside line on Billingsley and moved into third, then into second passing McDannel. They crossed the line in the same order with Quest taking the impressive win.
