season. He entered in 85Sr, Supermini, and Pit bike Stk. Up first was 85Sr where Sexton took the holeshot with Jimmy Epifanio and Rj Mackenzie battling for position. Mackenzie was trying hard to get around Epifanio and ended up sliding out. Alex Taylor capitalized moving in third; Mackenzie was able to keep it together and stuck it out for fourth. In SuperMini the launch was identical with Sexton out front, with Epifanio and Mackenzie right behind him. Coming into the sand section Sexton landed with his front tire sideways in order to whip the back end around as he does a lot. This lap didn’t work out so well, he hit the corner a little to square and went over the bars. He was able to get right back on the bike and get out front to keep the lead for the rest of the race. Fourteen riders lined up for 250B. Off the gates Jordan Mackiewicz took the holeshot with Mark Marincic in second and Hailey Larson was in third, stopping by to the race, riding out of California. She was riding fast all night making a run for
second. Coming up on the third lap Larson got around Marincic over the table top. Mackiewicz took the win holding on the lead for the entire race. In Open B Larson took the holeshot with Matt Michelotti and Lucas Hayes on the hunt. Larson started to pull away while Caleb Gilberston made his way inside of Hayes to take over third. Coming over the line Larson took the win with Michelotti and Gilberston rounding out the top three. The Quads had a great showing out there this evening with eight riders lining for Quad A. Coming off the line Devin Krontz took the holeshot having the points leader Ethan Pickard and Jory Dalsanto right on his tail. Over the table top Pickard got the outside line, taking the lead from Krontz. Meanwhile behind them Kory Blake took the inside through the sand to take over third. This left them to cross the line with Pickard in the lead followed by Krontz and Blake. Continued on page 19
