tion was a split where you could take the inside and go through the whoops or go outside and take a rhythm section. This made things very interesting as it was the last section before the final turn into the finish line. A lot of races came down to who was faster through their chosen section. Also a new sand sweeper connecting the original track to the new section made for a lot of passing. The A class was large tonight with a big purse on the line. Everyone was out to win. First up in Open A there was eighteen riders lining up for their chance at the pot. Off the gate Justin Kelly took the holeshot with Cameron Lansing and Maxx Malatia in his wake. Coming through the sand Ty Tyrell snuck around the back of the pack moving in behind Kelly, pushing Lansing back to third. Lansing went down moving Tommy Hofmaster to third, making that the final order of the race. 250A came out later that night with a great race in store as well. This time Cameron Lans-

ing grabbed the holeshot with Kevin Markwardt and Jacob Berger, a newcomer to the track rounding out the top three. Coming out of the new section Markwardt went outside over the table top to take over the lead where he started pulling away. Back in fourth place David Gassin, another newcomer to track was battling with Berger and made his was on the inside of the sand section to finally take over third. Coming over the finish line Markwardt held on for the win, with Lansing and Gassin hold their positions. The +25 race tonight was very exciting with so many passes going on; the fight went all the way to the checkered flag. Coming off of the line Justin Kelly rocketed out front with Kevin Markwardt and Chad Johnson right behind him. Jumping in the sand section Markwardt lost his back end going down, moving Johnson and David Gassin up. Coming over the table top Gassin got around Johnson then into the split section Tommy Hofmaster was flying through, passing them both, moving into second place. Gassin went down and did not finish the race pushing Markwardt back up into third. A new class for the series tonight was 14-24A. Coming off the line Maxx Malatia took the holeshot. Kyle Collaltz was right behind him in second and Brandon Pope was third. Malatia was charging hard starting to create a good gap while Collaltz and Pope were going back and forth every lap trying to get around. It came down to a drag race down the split section. Pope took the inside to go for the whoops and Collaltz took the outside rhythm section. Pope took the whoops perfectly and was able to get inside of Collaltz and make the pass. Zach Coons had been in fourth trying to make some ground back when Collaltz went down moving Coons into third and Malachi Messenger into fourth. Chase Sexton was at Stateline MX for the first time this
