S

un plus warm temps equaled a perfect weekend for the opener at Fun Valley in Montezuma. Everyone was anxious to get on the track to check out the changes, and get their opportunity at the new hairpin holeshot. First on the gate was the 1424 B/C class with nine anxious riders ready to get the weekend underway. Grabbing the holeshot was Dylan Busby with Jake Harnish and Chase Conis right behind. Chase Juhl made his way past Harnish but Harnish took his position back during the last lap, keeping it tight to the end with Juhl still in pursuit. Second moto saw Busby take the lead with Harnish on his tail and Juhl in third. Busby stretched his lead and Juhl quickly passed into second with Conis in fourth. The next lap Conis moved on Harnish taking the third to the finish. Overall for the day was Busby, Conis, Juhl and Harnish. The next class off the gate was Quad 90 CVT. Gage Beebe took the holeshot and led throughout the race, leaving the

battle to the others. Cody Spiegelhalter, Austin Hayes and Roderick Philipp kept it close throughout the race with Philipp swapping spots with Hayes through the double-doubles. Hayes worked his way up to Spiegelhalter over the double after the finish line. Spiegelhalter kept running hard and maintained his second spot as Hayes and Philipp were trying to get an edge on him.
