zka finally made his move early in lap four and then stayed out front for the moto win to clinch the overall. Raduenz finished his day second overall and Willing was third. Raduenz afterwards, “This was really a fun day. I won the first moto and was second in the second moto for a second overall. In the first moto I put my head down and tried to ride as smooth as possible. Dretzka got hung up in the gate so he had a little bit of catching up to do. I saw he was there near the end so I tried to ride as hard as I could. In moto two I pulled the holeshot on my 250. I felt good and about two laps in I was thinking I could win this and then Dretzka ran me down. Tommy and I have been friends forever, and we have been beating on each other forever so it’s great and we have such a good time. I hope we are still dicing it up when we

are 80. The track today was pretty good. I was out here early in the week practicing and I really wondered if we would be able to hold the race. They did a phenomenal job getting it ready. I really want to thank Rob’s Performance he has been an unbelievable help with my racing. Also thanks to my wife for putting up with me doing this all these years.” I talked to Patti Doeberlein the Aztalan Cycle Club Vice President and she told me, “I really want to thank everyone that came out in spite of the heat. I also have to give a big thanks to all the members that came out to get the track ready. The watering and track crews did an amazing job, and many of the other members pitched in to make sure we were ready. I know it hasn’t been fun standing out in this heat doing whatever for the club. Thanks everyone, the club couldn’t do it without you.” Once again when the day was over everyone left with a great feeling, knowing they had challenged not only all the other riders but the heat wave as well, and they all won. The next motocross race will be August 12th and we hope to see you all there.

Robert Raduenz took second overall in +45.
