A Night Time Story Roberto Aliaga H Sonja Wimmer

Every night, before I go to sleep, she sits down on my bed with heaps of stories in her hands. She’s got them all.

She tucks my blankets up under my chin. Then she chooses one at random, and in a gentle voice, begins to read‌

Right away, my bedroom is full of words and pictures. Because in her stories, I’m always the main character.

“Every night, before I go to sleep, she sits down on my bed with heaps of stories in her hands. She chooses one at random, and in a gentle voice, begins to read… Right away, my bedroom is full of words and pictures. Because in her stories, I’m always the main character.” A child, the night, and dreams… A Night Time Story visits this magic moment, when all of the things we imagine, all of the things we dream, parade before our eyes…

Praise for Sonja Wimmer: “Illustrations and text are seamlessly woven together to reinforce the fablelike notion on the power of words. A superior effort.” –School Library Journal, on The Word Collector. Winner of Gold for Best Illustrator at the 2011 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards for The Word Collector.
