Peppimenarti, or ‘Peppi’ as it is known, is situated on Tom Turner Creek approximately 320 km south west of Darwin. This painting depicts the traditional syaw or fish-net that is woven each year by the women of Peppimentarti from sand-palm, or merrepen, to catch barramundi and small crayfish.
