CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services Community Services is one of the largest growth industries in our local area, offering the opportunity to empower your community through support, advocacy and interventions, build caring and supportive relationships, and learn and grow across a variety of roles. The CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services is designed for those who work with individual clients, groups or communities across a range of services. At this level, you are expected to work without direct supervision and may be required to supervise or coordinate a small team in a range of community services, case work or case management contexts. The CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services can lead to a career as a: • Alcohol and Drug Officer/Crisis Intervention Worker • Community Development Officer • Counsellor/Community Support Officer • Multicultural Support Officer. The CHC42021 Certificate IV in Community Services is a nationally recognised training qualification delivered by our industry experienced and qualified trainers.

Entry Requirements

How To Enrol

Students need the language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and digital technology skills to meet industry requirements and physical fitness to undertake relevant tasks such as manual handling, shift work and repetitive tasks. Student's LLN skills will be assessed at course commencement. Students who require additional LLN support to successfully undertake the study program may be given assistance at a local level. We recommend all students are currently working in the Community Services industry.

Assessments and Course Completion Students will be assessed using a mix of written knowledge assessments, research projects and practical skills demonstrations in class and during work placement. A 'competent' outcome in all assessments is required for the qualification to be issued.

Course Resources Students will be provided with all learner guides and handouts for each unit of study as part of the course fee. Free access to College computers is available by booking with the Campus Coordinator.
